During his two-day state visit to Israel from February 25–26, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the cast and creators of the globally popular Israeli television series Fauda, in a light-hearted moment that reflected the growing cultural dimension of India–Israel ties.
The interaction took place during the Prime Minister’s engagements in Jerusalem, where he met members of the show’s team, including co-creator and lead actor Lior Raz. During the visit, PM Mdi addressed the Knesset (Israeli Parliament), deepening cooperation and expanding strategic ties with Israel.
On February 26, the Prime Minister held separate meetings with including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog, and addressed the Knesset to reinforce strategic cooperation in defence, technology, and trade.
The engagements led to the release of the India–Israel Joint Statement and a List of Outcomes, focusing on cooperation in defence, technology, innovation, and economic sectors.
PM Modi also visited a technology exhibition in Jerusalem, underscoring India’s interest in advancing partnerships in emerging technologies.
He also paid homage at Yad Vashem, The World Holocaust Remembrance Centre, honouring the memory of Holocaust victims.
