AI Impact Summit 2026: 20 global leaders, 7 PMs, 8 Presidents, 2 Princes to gather as India leads global tech drive

As India is set to host the AI Impact Summit, 2026, world leaders from 20 countries will land in New Delhi to champion technological revolution and accelerate cooperation, sovereignty and responsible growth in the domain of Artificial Intelligence for global benifit. The AI Summit hosted by India is orchestrated under the theme of “People, Planet and Progress”

As India is set to host the AI Impact Summit 2026, from February 16-20, world leaders from 20 countries will land in New Delhi for the Summit. India co-chairs and aims to orchestrate the summit under the theme of “People, Planet and Progress”. The number of world leaders in attendance for the AI Summit encompass the representatives from Asian, African and European countries. This cross continental confluence to seek responsible technological revolution reflects the scale, intensity and the importance of the Summit hosted by India.

As per the official release from the Ministry of External Affairs, the AI Impact Summit underlined with the three Sutras of People, Planet and Progress mirrors India’s approach to AI cooperation. The Summit will bring together global leaders, policy makers, innovators, business officials and investors and subject experts from across the globe who will deliberate upon the future of AI. They will discuss the cooperative pathways to foster a responsible AI ecosystem that respects digital sovereignty and security.

The world leaders in attendance

As per the official release by the Ministry of External Affairs, the world leaders who are attending the AI Impact Summit, 2026 at New Delhi are the head of the states from Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Guyana, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Mauritius, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Seychelles, Switzerland, Netherlands and the UAE. The scale of the leaders from European, Asian and African continent who will attend the summit reflects the global commitment for responsible AI revolution under the leadership of India. It also reflects the commitment of India as a responsible global player to foresee a credible development in the domain of Artificial Intelligence(AI).

In addition to the world leaders, the AI Impact Summit will also witness one of the largest business and investment delegations. As per MEA, a ministerial delegation from more than 45 countries will participate in the summit. The UN Secretary General and heads of various international organisations will also land in New Delhi to champion a cooperative pathway for the responsible and inclusive growth of Artificial Intelligence(AI). Representatives from global tech giants will also participate in the AI summit. In total, more than 100 countries will converge in New Delhi to deliberate upon the future of Artificial Intelligence(AI) under the leadership of India.

The AI Impact Summit 2026, will be the maiden high-scale AI summit to be held in Global South. Thus, the key focus and epicentre of the summit will be articulating inclusive AI growth and governance frameworks that benefits the people and youth of the Global South. India’s foreign policy priorities always revolve around the welfare and development of the Global South. In this direction, the AI Impact Summit hosted by India, will also focus on the prosperity of the Global South and the fruits of the AI revolution has to be accessible to the people of the region.
