Indore Woman Discovers Husband’s Real Identity During Pregnancy Checkup; Gym Trainer Arrested

Indore, Madhya Pradesh, April 5, 2021: A woman in Indore discovered that her husband had concealed his identity after she visited a doctor for a pregnancy-related examination, leading to police action in the case. The incident occurred in the Dwarkapuri area of the city.

According to the details, the accused, identified as Mustafa, is a Muslim gym trainer who allegedly posed as a Hindu man named Gabbar and married a Hindu woman after concealing his real identity. The matter came to light when the woman became pregnant and went for a sonography test, during which the doctor asked for her husband’s identity proof.

The identity document reportedly revealed the husband’s name as Mustafa. When the woman attempted to inform her family about the revelation, Mustafa allegedly threatened to kill her parents and vandalised household property.

Police arrested Mustafa in connection with the case. Further investigation is ongoing.

The series of incidents reported from multiple states over several years highlights recurring allegations involving gym trainers and gym operators accused of deception, sexual exploitation, coercion, and pressure for religious conversion. The cases have resulted in arrests, sealing of gym facilities, protests by various organisations, and political responses, with police investigations continuing in many matters. Authorities have stated that legal proceedings are being pursued based on complaints, evidence, and statements recorded as per law.
