The Ganesh Sena, the youth wing of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi, has issued a call urging the arrest and deportation of illegal infiltrators Bangladeshi and Rohingya Muslims, while appealing to the Hindu community to unite for the protection of heritage and social security of the historic city.

In a statement released under the banner “Jago Bhagyanagar – Chalo Balapur”, the BGUS described the proposed mobilisation as a “clarion call to every Hindu” to participate in the Dharma Raksha Sabha, scheduled to be held at Balapur on January 24.

According to the Ganesh Sena, Bhagyanagar is a city built on the sacrifices of ancestors and remains a cradle of culture, but is now facing an unprecedented and multi-dimensional challenges.

The statement said it is the duty of every Hindu to understand these challenges and unite to defeat them, stressing that the call to participate is “not just an invitation, but a call of duty”.

The organisation claimed that society is witnessing a systematic conspiracy to weaken it through various forms of ‘Jihad’ and infiltration. It urged citizens to “wake up (Jago)” and unite against forces that are attempting to destabilise the social fabric.

Explaining the reasons behind the proposed mass gathering, the Ganesh Sena said it would demand strict action against illegal infiltrators who are allegedly altering the city’s demography, describing this as a threat to national security.

It further alleged that due to economic and job-related issues, impoverished Hindus are losing their livelihoods, with traditional occupations being encroached upon, which it said must be countered to protect the poor.

The statement also raised concerns over national security, pointing out that Bhagyanagar is home to vital national security hubs and strategic defence installations.

It alleged that illegal infiltrators, including Bangladeshis and Rohingyas, are systematically setting up illegal colonies in close proximity to sensitive defence establishments, warning that such settlements in strategic buffer zones pose a direct threat to national security.

It called upon security agencies to identify the illegal infiltrators, arrest them, and deport them to their respective countries.

In addition, the Ganesh Sena said the gathering would raise a collective voice against social issues such as drug abuse and what it described as deceptive conspiracies targeting youth and women.

It alleged that young people are being pushed into drug addiction to weaken the community and that Hindu girls are being targeted, deceived, and forced into religious conversions, leading to the destruction of families.

The organisation also alleged that illegal infiltrators are siphoning off government benefits meant for the local poor, including ration cards, voter IDs, and double-bedroom houses. It further claimed that encroachment of temple lands and valuable properties (land Jihad), food adulteration affecting public health, and attempts to claim rights in the reservation system have become rampant.

Calling for an end to what it described as silence among society, the statement said the time has come to revive the spirit of the 1980 Samuhika Ganesh Utsav.

It appealed to Hindus to join the Sabha and pledge to protect culture, temples, and future generations. The Dharma Raksha Sabha is scheduled to be held on January 24, 2026 at Ganesh Chowk, Balapur, in Rangareddy district.

Speaking to Organiser, Dr R. Shashidhar, general secretary of BGUS, said that attempts to legitimise illegal settlements of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas are part of a well-designed, long-term strategy of anti-national forces operating under the guise of helping the needy. He stated that the narrative of human rights is being used as a smoke screen, adding that civil society no longer wants excuses from political forces that view such groups merely as a vote bank and a source of cheap labour. According to him, this approach represents a sinister design and poses a serious threat to the peace and tranquillity of the historic Bhagyanagar.
