The 65th ABVP Kashi State Conference began today with grand enthusiasm at the Mahant Avaidyanath Auditorium in the Rani Abbakka Nagar campus, temporarily established at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. The inaugural session was presided over by the Chief Guest, Ramesh Ji, Prant Pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Kashi, where he refers to his organizational role in guiding social and national initiatives. The session was graced by Distinguished Guest Padma Yogeshwar Dutt, renowned Indian wrestling champion and Special guest ABVP National Secretary Abhay Pratap Singh, who remained specially present throughout the proceedings. Also present on the dais were the newly elected State President, Kashi Dr. Mahendra Tripathi, newly elected State Secretary, Kashi Shivam Singh, Reception Committee President Gyan Prakash and Secretary Pushpraj Singh.

The conference commenced this morning with the hoisting of the ABVP flag, followed by the collective rendition of Vande Mataram. Presenting the annual report, outgoing State Secretary Abhay Pratap Singh highlighted that ABVP Kashi has achieved a historic milestone this year by registering 3,86,091 student memberships, the highest ever in its organizational history, surpassing all previous records.

The election process for State President and State Secretary was conducted and concluded smoothly under the supervision of Election Officer Dr. Akhilesh Pandey, who officially announced the results, declaring Dr. Mahendra Tripathi (Jaunpur) as State President, Kashi, and Shivam Singh (Bhadohi) as State Secretary, Kashi.

On the first day of the conference, four significant resolutions were presented and opened for suggestions from delegates. These include Vacant seats and delayed admission processes in Central and State Universities, 150 Years of Vande Mataram: the immortal call of national consciousness, From Screen Time to Green Time:a movement for balanced living, From the Frontier to Empowerment envisioning a stronger future for Sonbhadra. These resolutions will be enriched with key suggestions from delegates and officially adopted on the final day of the conference.

Addressing the delegates, Chief Guest Ramesh said, “At the present moment, Bharat once again needs national resurgence, and its foundation must be education rooted in knowledge and character. Unity is the true strength that establishes peace. The nation will become strong only when we work with the resolve of ‘Bharat Ki Jai’ instead of ‘Vyakti Ki Jai’. For nation-building, transformation at the grassroots and the education of mother-power is essential. It is also our duty to save the youth from the trap of addiction and help them correctly identify the friends and foes of the nation, so that our existence never faces a crisis.”

Distinguished Guest of Inaugural Session and Padma Shri Awardee Yogeshwar Dutt said, “The karyakartas of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad always place the nation above personal ambitions. The organisation is continuously working with a clear vision to shape and strengthen the country and take it forward on the path of progress. The real strength of any nation lies in its youth. If the youth are mentally and physically strong, the nation automatically becomes strong. Nation-building requires the contribution of every section of society while sportspersons enhance national pride on the global stage and soldiers protect the borders, teachers build the foundation of the nation by educating future generations. We must realize that selfless social service is also true service to the nation. Our goal should be to move forward united, taking the entire society together. Ultimately, ‘Hindustan’ must always remain at the center of our thoughts and actions.”

Special guest of the inaugural session ABVP’s National Secretary Abhay Pratap Singh said,” Today, ABVP stands as a student organisation committed solely to national service. In the current era, increasing screen time is emerging as a major challenge for the youth and has become a leading cause of mental stress and depression. Educational campuses today are witnessing a rise in ideologies that attempt to divide society, while those who work positively to unite are fewer. Hence, it is crucial that student-power remains aware, abandons destructive tendencies, unites for nation-building, and contributes to shaping a stronger Bharat.”
