Character-building among the younger generation is critical for nation-building, and patriotism and discipline are essential to checking the spread of extremism, said Shriram Bharat Kumar, Dakshin Madhya Kshetra Pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, while calling upon youth to lead disciplined lives.

He was addressing a public meeting at Government College, Kacheguda, Barkatpura, on December 21, organised as part of the ‘RSS at 100 years’ celebrations and to mark the conclusion of a youth camp.

Shriram Bharat Kumar said Hindutva consciousness is gaining strength across the country and noted that the RSS has been working consistently for the past 100 years to strengthen national character. He explained that the Sangh is expanding its outreach through the “Panch Parivartan” initiative to connect with wider sections of society.

Earlier, a Path Sanchalan (route march) was organised from Keshav Memorial Educational Institutions, Narayanguda to Government College, Kacheguda. BJP leaders and Sangh swayamsevaks welcomed the rally by setting up reception platforms along the route.

Prominent participants included Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Veda Prakash, RSS Bhagyanagar Sanghchalak, and senior Sangh functionaries, including Dr Praveen Kumar, Erra Narasimha Rao, and Parasuram.
