Police took the accused into custody and stated that questioning is underway. According to the complaint, the woman alleged that Salman, son of Salim and a resident of Singot under the Piplod police station area, had been blackmailing her using photographs and videos. She claimed that during this period, he forced her into objectionable acts and pressured her to change her religion on the pretext of marriage. The woman approached the police after stating she could no longer endure the situation.

Hapur: Alleged Islamist tantrik Arrested on Woman’s Complaint in Pilkhuwa

An incident was reported from a neighbourhood under the Pilkhuwa police station area in Hapur district, where a man described as a tantric was arrested following allegations made by a married woman who had approached him for treatment. According to the complaint submitted to the police, the woman visited the accused, identified as Rahees, on the night of 29 November for ritual-based treatment related to a headache. She was accompanied by her young daughter, who remained outside the premises while the woman was taken into an interior room. The woman alleged that during the course of the treatment, the accused called her inside on the pretext of performing rituals and then forcibly committed inappropriate acts. She stated that when she resisted, the accused threatened to cause serious harm to her husband if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

Shahjahanpur: Police Stop Nikah of Hindu Minor Following Tip-Off

Police halted a nikah ceremony involving a Hindu minor girl in Shahjahanpur after receiving information from a Hindu organisation. The incident occurred on Sunday evening at a marriage lawn located on Shahbaznagar Road. According to available information, preparations for the nikah were underway at the venue, with guests from the groom’s side present along with the girl’s mother. The groom was reported to be a youth from the Muslim community residing in the Sadar Bazaar police station area.

Kanpur: Police Intervene After Protest Over Youth and Woman Seen at Hotel

An incident was reported from a hotel in the Kalyanpur area of Kanpur after Bajrang Dal workers raised objections upon seeing a young woman with a YOUNG MAN from another community. The objections led to a brief disturbance at the location, following which police were informed and reached the spot. According to the report, Bajrang Dal workers alleged that the woman was being exploited and demanded action against the young man. After police intervention at the hotel, the workers continued their protest at the police station, pressing for further action.

Lucknow: Secretariat Employee Alleges Rape, Extortion and Coercion 

A woman employed at the state secretariat in Lucknow filed a complaint at Mahanagar police station accusing a man from Syana in Bulandshahr district of rape, extortion, threats, and coercion. Police registered a case and stated that efforts are underway to trace the accused. According to the woman’s complaint, the accused initially contacted her under the pretext of investing money in the share market. Over time, he gained her trust, obtained her address, and visited Lucknow. The woman alleged that he took money from her in the name of investment and repeatedly pressured her for funds, resulting in a total amount of Rs 6 lakh being taken. The woman stated that she remained silent since 2023 due to threats of defaming her at her workplace, harming her family, and getting her dismissed from service. She sought police protection and strict action.

Bijnor: Youth Arrested on Allegations of Fake Identity, Deception and Blackmail

Police in Bijnor district arrested a youth after a woman accused him of befriending her on social media using a fake identity, promising marriage, and later blackmailing her. The case pertains to the Mandawar police station area and is under investigation. According to the complaint, the woman, who works with a private company in Haridwar, came into contact with the accused through Instagram. She alleged that he used a fake profile under the name Saurabh Pal and claimed to belong to the same caste and community. Over time, he gained her trust, assured her of marriage, and allegedly established a relationship on that basis. The accused was identified as Faizan Malik, a resident of Khudahedi village under Mandawar police station. The woman stated that her suspicion arose after she allegedly found the accused’s Aadhaar card, which revealed his real identity. Police registered a case under sections related to impersonation, cheating, threats, and blackmail, arrested the accused, and stated that further action would follow verification during the investigation.

Devotees alleged that a food vendor sold non-vegetarian items during the religious programme. The event involved devotees gathering to recite verses from the Bhagavad Gita. According to reports, devotees alleged that the vendor sold patties while claiming they were vegetarian. Some later discovered pieces of chicken inside the patties, leading to objections. Verbal disputes reportedly escalated into physical altercations at the venue. A video of the incident circulated on social media. The vendor was identified as Sheikh Riyazul, a resident of Arambagh. Reports stated that he was selling both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Video footage showed him stating that the patties were vegetarian when questioned.

Greater Noida: Interfaith Couple Alleges Death Threats, Police Await Complaint

An incident was reported from the Dankaur area of Greater Noida where a Hindu man alleged that he and his wife were facing death threats from her family following their interfaith marriage. The matter came to light after a video surfaced on social media on December 8, 2025. In the video, the woman, identified as Aisha, stated that she is an adult and married Rahul of her own free will. She said the marriage was solemnised according to Hindu rituals at a temple in Delhi on December 8. She alleged that her family members, including her father Raees Ansari and uncles Saleem and Azad, were unhappy with the marriage and had issued threats.

Delhi: Stone-Pelting at Hindu Religious Programme on Pandara Road

A Hindu religious programme was disrupted in central Delhi on December 8, 2025, after stones and glass pieces were allegedly hurled at a pandal hosting a Bhajan Kirtan event in the Pandara Road area. The three-day Radha Rani Vivah programme was being organised at a residence on Pandara Road and had passed peacefully on earlier days. On the final day, between 5.30 pm and 5.45 pm, stones and glass shards were reportedly thrown into the pandal. A piece of glass struck 60-year-old Madhu Manocha on the face, causing injuries. She was admitted to Fortis Hospital for treatment. It was alleged that stones were thrown from nearby flats occupied by labourers.

Seoni: Allegations of Religious Restrictions at Missionary School

An incident reported on December 8, 2025, in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, triggered protests following allegations that a Christian missionary school restricted Hindu students from wearing religious symbols such as tilak and kalava while involving them in Bible reading and prayer. Parents and residents raised concerns, after which members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal staged a protest outside the school. Witnesses alleged that a teacher was reading from the Bible and leading prayer sessions. Police reached the spot, spoke with students, and reportedly confiscated a Bible found in a classroom.

Jabalpur: Minor Allegedly Indoctrinated for Religious Conversion

A case alleging religious indoctrination of a minor surfaced in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. A complaint was filed at Adhartal police station by Satyanarayan Sharma, alleging that his son was pressured to convert to Christianity by a school teacher and a pastor. According to the complaint, the child, a student of St. Xavier School, began attending church and asserting that Christianity was the only true religion after interaction with a teacher identified as Palak Singh. The family alleged behavioural changes, including aggression and damage to religious idols at home.

Bidar: Retired High Court Judge’s Remarks Draw Criticism

Retired Bombay High Court judge B.G. Kolse Patil drew criticism for remarks made during a Sufi saints’ conference in Basavakalyan town of Bidar district on December 8, 2025. Reports stated that he made remarks against Hinduism, Hindu organisations, and prominent Hindu figures. His statements included claims regarding the term “Hindu,” criticism of Brahmins, and allegations against the RSS. Past statements and legal cases involving Kolse Patil were also referenced. Authorities have not announced any official action regarding the latest remarks.

Kushinagar: Alleged Attempted Religious Conversion

An incident was reported from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, where a Christian missionary woman was allegedly caught attempting to convert Dalit families. Bajrang Dal sources stated that inducements were offered and police were informed. The accused woman reportedly escaped, and a police probe is underway.

Dungarpur: Eight Detained Over Alleged Conversion

Eight persons were detained in Dungarpur, Rajasthan, over alleged religious conversion during a changai sabha. Hindu groups alleged targeting of tribal families. Christian books were reportedly recovered, and an investigation is ongoing.

Itanagar: Bandh Announced Over Alleged Illegal Mosque Construction

A 12-hour bandh was announced for December 9 in Itanagar by APIYO and youth organisations over alleged illegal mosque construction and claims of demographic change. Public support for the bandh was reported.

Medchal: Protest at Engineering College

A protest erupted at Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College in Medchal following allegations of misbehavior with students wearing Ayyappa malas. Activists entered the campus demanding action. The principal apologised, and the management assured no repetition.

Saharanpur: Police Verify Same-Sex Relationship Claims

Police in Saharanpur recorded statements in a case involving a Hindu woman and a married Muslim woman claiming a same-sex relationship. Police are verifying mental health and consent.

Chhindwara: Three Booked Under Religious Freedom Act

In Chhindwara, three individuals were booked under the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act following allegations of forced conversion during a changai sabha. Police stated that the investigation is ongoing.

Hapur: Case Registered Over Abduction of 18-year-old girl

A case has been registered at Simbhavali police station in Hapur district following a complaint alleging that an 18-year-old woman was taken away after being persuaded under false pretences. The complaint was filed by the woman’s father, a resident of the Simbhavali police station area. According to the complaint, the woman left her home on 6 December without informing her family. When she did not return, the family lodged a missing person report at the local police station. During subsequent inquiries, the father alleged that his daughter had been taken away with the intention of marriage. The complainant stated that the woman allegedly left the house with essential documents, jewellery, and cash amounting to Rs 58,000. The accused has been identified as Rakib, a resident of a village under the Bhojpur police station area in Ghaziabad district.

Kannauj: Hindu Organisations Protest Alleged Police Inaction

Hindu organisations staged a protest in Kannauj, alleging police inaction in a case involving a Hindu woman allegedly taken away by a Muslim youth. The protesters submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police, questioning the handling of the case and demanding action based on the family’s allegations. The incident, dating back to 19 November, occurred in Sharifapur village under Sadar Kotwali police station. According to the family, the woman was persuaded and taken away by Mohammad Zeeshan, a resident of Sharifapur. Around 15 days later, the police traced Zeeshan and recovered the woman. The family alleged that after she was taken away, attempts were made by the accused and his family to pressure her into religious conversion with the intent of marriage. They stated that despite submitting a written complaint, no action was taken on this aspect.

Bijnor: Youth Arrested for Alleged Deception, Sexual Assault, and Threats

In Bijnor district, a woman lodged a complaint against a man alleging that he befriended her under a false identity, engaged in sexual relations, and later threatened her. The FIR, filed by the woman, states that the interaction began on Instagram through an account under the name “Saurabh Pal,” which developed into a closer relationship. According to the complaint, the two met on several occasions and stayed at hotels together. The woman discovered the man’s real identity from an Aadhar card that fell from his wallet, revealing his name as Faizan Malik. The complaint alleges that the accused attempted to mislead the woman regarding religious conversion and issued threats.

Datia: Hanuman Temple Idol Vandalised, Priest Assaulted

At Pola Pahad Hanuman Temple on Bhander-Chirgaon Road, Datia, an unidentified man vandalised the consecrated murti of Lord Hanuman around 1:00 PM on 9 December 2025. The temple priest, Mahant Pappu Baba, intervened; during the confrontation, the accused snatched and smashed the priest’s mobile phone and attempted to assault him before fleeing.

Fatehabad: Gorakhnath Temple Desecrated, Resident Threatened

In Fatehabad, Haryana, members of the local Muslim community allegedly desecrated Gorakhnath Temple in Sundar Nagar on 9 December 2025, spitting on and urinating over the Shivalinga and temple premises. A local Hindu resident, Palaram, objected and was threatened with murder, kidnapping, and sexual violence against his family. Palaram filed a formal complaint with the city police, assisted by Advocate Ankit Bhalotia.

Anti-Hindu Remarks Target Gurukula System on Social Media

On 9 December 2025, Nilakanthan RS, described as a Dravidian propagandist, posted on social media denigrating Hindus and the Gurukula system. Responding to a tweet seeking donations to revive Gurukulas, he wrote that Hindus are “monsters” promoting a casteist, anti-modern idea. The accused’s remarks disparaged this institution, misrepresenting it as casteist and opposed to modernity. Earlier, Nilakanthan RS had insulted the Mahabharata and made statements glorifying violence against upper-caste Hindus.

Attempted Religious Conversion of Adivasi Villagers in Narmadapuram, MP

Pashchari Bhagchand Raj has been accused of attempting to convert Adivasi villagers during a changai sabha in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. Tribals had gathered for healing prayers when VHP and Bajrang Dal intervened, alleging inducements. A formal FIR has been registered by local police.

NSA Charges for Vandalism of Shiva Temple in Burhanpur, MP

Fakika and Siraj Tadvi were booked under the National Security Act for vandalising a Shiva temple in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. The accused allegedly damaged the Shivling, kalash, and other religious items on 29 November, ahead of a scheduled yagna. Both have been arrested and lodged in jail.

Religious Harassment in Hyderabad Park, Telangana

Two unidentified men claiming affiliation with Jamaat-e-Islami disturbed visitors at a park in Hyderabad, propagating religious messages and insisting a woman convert to Islam. Residents confronted the men, who were arrested by police.

Threats to Rape Victim in Agra, UP

Jalaluddin Qureshi, Mujib, Danish, Daud, Bilal, and Irfan threatened a rape victim with death for refusing to compromise in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The accused intercepted the victim outside court following Jalaluddin’s release. A new FIR has been registered.

Road Rage Assault on BJP Leader in Palghar

Mohid Khan and eight others assaulted BJP leader Vikas Yadav and his family during a road rage incident on 6 December in Palghar, Maharashtra. The attack followed Yadav questioning a car overtaking his motorcycle. Police used a mild lathi charge to disperse the crowd and filed an FIR against all nine accused.

Minor Rape at Madrasa in Doda, J&K

Nasir Majid, a madrasa teacher, raped a minor female student at Dar-ul-Quran madrasa in Doda, Jammu & Kashmir. The accused fled after the complaint but was arrested by police within three hours. The case is registered under BNS and POCSO Act.

Assaults on SC Hindu Women and Land Dispute Violence in Howrah, WB

Tapas Dhara, Tarun Maji, and associates of TMC MLA Samir Panja allegedly assaulted SC Hindu women in Manikura village and attacked Sutisna Pradhan over a land dispute in Jangalpara village on 5 December. Pradhan is receiving treatment for facial injuries. Counter-cases have been filed against 23 Hindus; three have been arrested, while main accused remain at large.

Kidnapping of Hindu Woman and Daughter in Karachi, Pakistan

Three unidentified armed men kidnapped Hindu woman Rani and her minor daughter outside their home in Sher Shah, Sindh, Karachi, Pakistan. The family fears forced conversion to Islam and marriage.

Attack on Devotees During Bhajan Sandhya in New Delhi

Unidentified labourers pelted stones and threw glass objects at devotees during a bhajan sandhya in New Delhi, seriously injuring one woman. Several devotees sustained injuries. Two labourers have been detained by police.

Alleged Abduction and Forced Religious Conversion in Muhana

On November 27, 2025, a 24-year-old woman from Sanganer was allegedly abducted from her home in the Muhana police station area. Her father filed a complaint stating that the accused attempted to coerce her into converting from Hinduism to Islam and pressured her into marriage. The complaint also alleged that gold jewelry and approximately one lakh rupees were taken from the house. The woman assisted her family with their shop alongside her studies. Her father claimed that the main accused, Akib Javed, along with Akbar and Mahboob Ali, had befriended her over time while visiting the shop. On the day of the alleged abduction, Akib Javed reportedly displayed a pistol and forcibly took the woman from her home. Police registered an FIR under sections 87, 142, 305, 127(3) BNS, and the Rajasthan Anti-Forced Religious Conversion Act, 2025 (Sections 3/5).

Hindu Woman Recovered from Alleged Custody in Indore

In Indore’s Azad Nagar area, Karni Sena workers intervened after learning that a Hindu woman had been living with Sufiyan Ansari for about six weeks. The woman was safely returned to her family and reportedly declined to file a complaint. Man Singh Rajawat of Karni Sena stated that the woman, a resident of MG Road, had been staying with Ansari in a rented house. Police were informed, and she was recovered from Musakhedi. Sufiyan Ansari has a prior FIR in BanGanga alleging he took another woman to Rajasthan, conducted a fraudulent marriage, and forced conversion. The current case has not resulted in an FIR, though police have taken preventive measures against him.

Attempted Murder of Hindu Key Witness in Sandeshkhali

On December 10, 2025, Bholanath Ghosh, a key witness in the case against Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan, was severely injured in a road accident in North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal. His younger son and driver died. The family alleged the crash was a deliberate attempt on Ghosh’s life, claiming a ten-wheeler truck struck the vehicle and the driver fled. Ghosh was scheduled to testify in court against Shahjahan, arrested previously in connection with mass gang-rapes and sexual exploitation of Hindu women in Sandeshkhali. Police confirmed the incident is under investigation; the collision occurred in an area without CCTV coverage.

Hindu Students Restricted from Wearing Religious Symbols in Udaipur School

On December 10, 2025, Hindu students at St. Gregorios Senior Secondary School in Udaipur were reportedly forced to remove sacred threads (kalava) and tilak before entering the school. Parents stated the students were stopped at the gate, citing a directive reportedly issued by Vice-Principal Anil Goswami. The action prompted protests from parents and community representatives emphasising tilak and kalava as essential expressions of Hindu identity.

Anti-Hindu Hate Speech by Faculty at Hyderabad Educational Institution

On December 10, 2025, Professor Bhattacharya of the Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad, was reported to have mocked Hindu deities, abused Brahmins, and maligned the Vedas and Bhagavad Gita. A video circulating online showed him ridiculing idol worship and questioning the significance of Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman, Lord Narasimha, Bhagwan Shiva, and Goddess Durga. The professor also made derogatory statements against Brahmins, referring to temple priests as “idiot pandita purohits” and dismissing Hindu pilgrimages.

Bajrangbali Temple Vandalised in South 24 Parganas

On the night of December 9, 2025, a Bajrangbali temple in Ramkrishnapur, Kulpi Assembly area, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, was reportedly vandalised. Miscreants broke the head of the Bajrangbali idol and damaged the aarti microphone set. Damage was discovered the following morning by the temple priest and residents. Police confirmed an investigation, collected samples, and ordered additional deployment.

Derogatory Remarks Against Hindu Deities in Moradabad

On December 10, 2025, Waqeer Rashid, a Muslim lawyer associated with AIMIM, reportedly made derogatory remarks against Hindu gods in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Youth Wing and Shiv Sena workers protested at the SSP office, submitting a memorandum requesting strict action. Authorities have received a formal complaint, and the incident is documented as hate speech against Hindus.

Hindu Deities Abused, Ram Mandir Targeted in Lakhimpur Kheri

On December 8, 2025, Maulana Alam Raza was arrested in Kakarpitta village, Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, for posting derogatory content against Hindu deities and the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on social media. Posts referenced the demolished Babri Masjid and included provocative statements.

Religious Tension Erupts in Banswara Over Posters

On December 10, 2025, tension arose in Banswara, Rajasthan, after religious posters were placed opposite each other on the Jama Masjid building on Pala Road. One side protested and raised slogans. Police deployed additional forces and controlled the situation.

Delhi Man Killed Over Loan Dispute

In Delhi, on December 10, 2025, Mohd Kalim killed 45-year-old Dilip by striking him repeatedly with a stone after a loan dispute. Police traced and arrested Kalim within 12 hours from the Jama Masjid area using CCTV footage and call records. The accused confessed, and the weapon was recovered.
