Three Hindu men were injured in a violent incident in Dapoli town of Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district following a dispute over vehicle parking. Deepak Dattaram Shedge, who had come to his native village to attend a family wedding, was accompanied by his cousins Pravin Pratap Jede and Swapnil Maruti Shedge.
The incident began when Deepak Shedge objected to a tempo allegedly parked in a manner that obstructed traffic near Kelskar Naka. An argument and scuffle followed. Later, after the three men had parked their car on Machhi Bazaar Road and were preparing to leave, a group of Muslim youths arrived on motorcycles and allegedly threatened them before pelting stones at their vehicle, damaging its windows.
According to the complaint, Afridi Ahmed Jogilkar, Azar Jogilkar and Altaf Alauddin Alam allegedly dragged Deepak Shedge out of the car and assaulted him. During the attack, he sustained serious head injuries after being struck with a glass bottle and required 12 stitches. The other two victims were also assaulted.
Following the incident, the injured victims approached Dapoli Police Station and a case was registered against Afridi Ahmed Jogilkar, Azar Ahmed Jogilkar, Altaf Alauddin Alam and other accused under multiple sections of law. The girl’s father and elder son located her at the station after being informed that she had not returned home; they saw the man holding her by the hand and attempting to take her onto the station premises. When the elder son moved to intervene, the man pushed him aside, issued threats and tried to flee; the girl was recovered and brought home by her family.
In a statement recorded to police, the girl said the man had introduced himself to her using the Hindu name “Raj” and had communicated with her while concealing that he was Muslim. The family’s complaint alleges the man had been grooming and isolating the girl with the intention of taking her away and pressuring her to convert and marry. Confrontations with the man’s relatives followed the recovery; the girl’s mother fainted during an exchange in which relatives named in the complaint-identified by the family as Rashid, his wife, and sons Siraj, Riyaz, Golu and Guddu-allegedly abused and threatened the victim’s family.

6. Hindu Doctor Murdered After Assailants Break Into Home in Bangladesh’s Khulna District

9. Hindu Woman Alleges Sexual Exploitation, Forced Conversion and Nikah by Muslim Man in Uttar Pradesh
A Hindu woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district has accused a Muslim man, identified as Danish, of sexually exploiting her, coercing her into converting to Islam, and compelling her to undergo Nikah.
According to her complaint, the accused befriended her and gained her trust by promising marriage. The woman alleged that Danish borrowed money from her, later drugged her, took her to a hotel, and raped her. She further stated that he recorded an obscene video and repeatedly sexually assaulted her while threatening to circulate the footage and kill her if she resisted.
The victim alleged that Danish subsequently began pressuring her to abandon Hinduism and accept Islam. She stated that Danish, along with his father Salim and brother Rihaan, took her to Baghpat, where she was compelled to convert and perform Nikah.
According to the complaint, the woman later learned from a witness that the accused and his family had planned her religious conversion. She alleged that after the Nikah, she was subjected to mental and physical harassment by the accused and his family members. She further stated that when she objected to the treatment, she was threatened with death and warned against approaching the police.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections pertaining to sexual exploitation, intimidation, assault, forced religious conversion, and other applicable offences. 10. Hindu Woman and Minor Son Allegedly Converted to Islam, Child Circumcised in Karnataka Case
A married Hindu woman and her nine-year-old son, who went missing from Kushalnagar in Karnataka’s Kodagu district, were later traced to a madrasa in Kerala’s Malappuram district, where they had allegedly been converted to Islam. Police arrested two individuals, identified as Salim and Jalil, in connection with the case.
The woman, identified as Sajitha, had been living with her husband and children and worked at a shop within the Nisargadham Tourist Centre complex. In May 2026, she disappeared along with her minor son, prompting her family to launch a search and file a missing person complaint with Kushalnagar Police Station.
Following continued efforts by police and local organisations, the woman and her son were located at a madrasa in Malappuram. 12. Hindu Woman Murdered After Refusing Conversion to Islam and Marriage Demand in Meerut
A 25-year-old Hindu nurse, Anjali Sharma, was allegedly strangled to death in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district by Sufiyan, a Muslim youth, after she refused pressure to marry him and convert to Islam. Police also accused Sufiyan’s sister, Sajida, of involvement in the crime.
Anjali Sharma, a resident of Jagriti Vihar Sector-3 and employed as a nurse at Meerut Medical College, had been living with her brother for the past year. According to the investigation, Sufiyan had allegedly been pressuring her to marry him and change her religion. When she refused, he allegedly murdered her in the Lohia Nagar area of the city.
Police stated that Sajida assisted in disposing of the body. After the murder, Anjali’s body was allegedly transported on an e-rickshaw and abandoned on the Medical College campus, where it was later discovered, causing panic among staff and students.

14. Hindus Violently Attacked by Muslim Mob Over Blasphemy Allegation in Bangladesh

15. Hindu Women Sexually Exploited and Blackmailed by Muslim Man Posing as Hindu Tantrik in Uttar Pradesh
Several Hindu women in Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh, were allegedly deceived, sexually exploited, and blackmailed by a Muslim man identified as Shehzad, who posed as a Hindu tantrik and claimed to possess supernatural powers. He reportedly targeted women facing emotional, domestic, and health-related difficulties, assuring them that their problems could be resolved through tantra-mantra rituals and spiritual treatment.
After gaining the victims’ trust, Shehzad allegedly sexually exploited them and secretly recorded objectionable videos and photographs. The recordings were later used to blackmail the women and extort money from them. Police stated that complaints regarding his activities had been received earlier as well.
Following an investigation, police launched an operation near the Delhi-Dehradun highway to arrest the accused. During the operation, Shehzad allegedly attempted to flee and opened fire at the police team. He sustained injuries in retaliatory police firing and was subsequently arrested.

16. Hindu Sentiments Hurt After Shivling Desecration By Muslim Man Named Mohammad Irfan in Bihar
A sacred Shivling at a religious site in Berauta village of Narhat block, Nawada district, Bihar, was allegedly desecrated by a Muslim man identified as Mohammad Irfan. The accused reportedly sat on the Shivling, mocked the revered Hindu religious symbol, and recorded the act on video. The incident came to light after the video circulated on social media, triggering anger among local Hindu residents.
Following complaints from local residents, police initially downplayed the incident. The Narhat Circle Officer reportedly described the Shivling as “just a stone” and dismissed the act as a child’s play. The remarks drew strong objections from Hindu organisations and residents, who stated that reducing a sacred symbol of worship to an ordinary stone hurt religious sentiments and trivialised the incident.
As protests intensified, members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal demanded action against the official concerned. A Hindu woman from Ulhasnagar in Maharashtra’s Thane district filed a complaint alleging that a Muslim man, Imran Sheikh, concealed his religious identity, introduced himself as “Vijay Verma,” and entered into a relationship before marrying her.
According to the complaint, the woman discovered after marriage that her husband’s real name was Imran Sheikh when he took her to his native village in Bihar. She alleged that thereafter she was pressured to convert to Islam, wear a burqa and hijab, and consume beef against her wishes.
The woman further stated that she faced harassment and physical assault whenever she resisted the alleged pressure to adopt Islamic practices. She also alleged that insulting remarks were made against Hindu deities by the accused and his family members, causing her mental distress.
Unable to bear the alleged harassment, the woman approached the police and filed a complaint regarding concealment of identity, pressure for religious conversion, and forced religious practices. Following the complaint, the Central Police Station in Ulhasnagar registered a case and arrested three individuals, including the main accused, Imran Sheikh.

The victim told her parents after enduring the abuse, following which a police complaint was filed and the accused’s true identity was established. The accused was arrested and a case registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. 20. Muslim Woman Enters Karnataka’s Badami Cave Temples Wearing Footwear
In Karnataka’s Bagalkot district, controversy erupted at the historic Badami Cave Temples after a Muslim staff member, identified as Roshani Mustafi, was seen entering the sacred temple complex wearing footwear. A video of the incident went viral on social media, triggering outrage among Hindu devotees who viewed the act as a violation of long-established temple customs and an affront to the sanctity of the site.

She later discovered that his real name was Altaf Haidar after the birth of their first child.
The woman stated that after his identity was revealed, she and her children were subjected to years of religious coercion, physical abuse, and confinement. She alleged that she was prevented from performing Hindu religious practices, forced to wear a burqa, read the Quran and Kalma, and offer namaz. She further stated that the accused insulted Hindu deities, threw away a Shivling she worshipped, and pressured her to abandon Hinduism. According to her account, she was assaulted whenever she resisted.
The victim also alleged that her three children were compelled to adopt Islamic practices, including reading the Quran, offering namaz, and observing Ramadan fasts. She further claimed that the children were subjected to physical abuse. The matter came to light after the eldest daughter informed friends about the family’s situation, following which members of the Hindu Raksha Dal intervened and assisted in rescuing the woman and her children from the accused’s residence in Sahibabad.
The victim later publicly narrated her ordeal and sought action against the accused, whom she described as a repeat offender who had similarly targeted two other Hindu women. 40. Minor Hindu Girl Maya Kohli Abducted, Forcibly Converted to Islam and Married in Tando Muhammad Khan, Sindh
In Tando Muhammad Khan district, Sindh, Pakistan, a 16-year-old Hindu girl named Maya Kohli, daughter of Bagho Kohli and resident of village Haji Muhammad Salah Nizamani, was abducted from her home and taken approximately 95 km to Samaro. At Dargah Gulzar-e-Khalil, a Sufi shrine in Samaro, cleric Peer Agha Jaan Sarhandi performed her forced conversion to Islam and issued a conversion certificate in her new Muslim name, Muskhan. Maya was subsequently married to Abid Ali, son of Muhammad Ramzan Sand; the nikah was solemnised at the Mirpurkhas court.
After the abduction, Maya’s parents contacted police but an FIR was not registered, leaving them without legal recourse. A 16-year-old Hindu minor girl from the Tyuni area of Dehradun district, Uttarakhand, studying in Class 10 at a government inter college, alleges that a Muslim youth named Anas from Kulhal, Vikasnagar, groomed and sexually assaulted her after concealing his Muslim identity. Anas created a fake Instagram profile under the Hindu name “Ansh Rana” to establish contact with the minor, lured her through this false identity, and took her to a hotel room in Tyuni Bazaar, where he sexually assaulted her.
On 23 May 2026 evening, the girl’s family searched for her. Local people found Anas in the hotel room in an objectionable situation at night; he attempted to flee but was arrested by police after the family filed a complaint. The crime was facilitated by Mohammed Junaid, a local vegetable seller who arranged the hotel room for Anas without identity verification, a role that drew further outrage from Hindu organisations.
Police registered a case against Anas under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections. Following her complaint, a case was registered at Navghar Police Station in Bhayander on 23 May 2026. Police launched a search for Noor Alam, who allegedly absconded after the complaint was filed. 43. Newly consecrated Hindu temple vandalised, idol and temple bell stolen in Rajasthan’s Dhaulpur
A newly constructed Hindu temple dedicated to Genda Baba in Takipur village of Rajasthan’s Dhaulpur district was vandalised during the night of 23 May 2026. The temple had been consecrated a day earlier through traditional Hindu rituals. According to the complaint, more than a dozen unidentified individuals entered the premises carrying axes, hammers, and iron rods, extensively damaged the structure, demolished parts of it, and took away the idol of Genda Baba along with the temple bell.
The incident sparked protests among villagers, who gathered at the site the following morning and staged a sit-in, demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible and strict legal action. Some residents also linked the incident to a long-standing political and electoral rivalry involving members of the Kushwaha community.

On 19 May 2026, the two travelled towards Mussoorie. Near Kuthalgate in Dehradun, Bajrang Dal activists and local residents stopped them after becoming suspicious about the man’s identity. When questioned, he identified himself as “Sagar”, but verification of his Aadhaar card and mobile details revealed his real name to be Sarfaraz, a resident of Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, who was reportedly married. The woman then learnt about his concealed identity and informed her brother.
Following the confrontation, local residents and Bajrang Dal workers handed Sarfaraz over to the police. Based on the woman’s complaint, Rajpur Police registered a case against him for allegedly concealing his identity and introducing himself as “Sagar” while interacting with her. The investigation is ongoing.

46. Hindu man receives death threats, Sanatan Dharma and Gau Mata insulted in WhatsApp voice messages in Jabalpur
A Hindu man in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, allegedly received abusive WhatsApp voice messages from Abdul Bakar alias Abu Bukar, a gold-polishing worker from West Bengal employed in Sarafa Bazar. The messages reportedly contained derogatory remarks against Sanatan Dharma, Hindu deities and Gau Mata, along with death threats.
The incident arose after Deepak Sahu of Premnagar complained about incomplete gold-polishing work. Deepak Sahu filed a complaint at Kotwali police station and submitted three audio recordings as evidence. Following information about the activities, Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers confronted the accused on 24 May and later handed him over to the police. Religious pamphlets were recovered from his possession. Based on a complaint, police registered an FIR under the Uttar Pradesh Prevention of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act and initiated legal proceedings. The investigation is ongoing.

50. Hindu girl abducted and forcibly converted to Islam for marriage in Pakistan’s Punjab

51. Hindu activist killed after attempting to stop alleged illegal cow smuggling in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal
Hindu activist and Bajrang Dal member Gajanan Suroshe was allegedly beaten to death by a group of Muslim men after attempting to stop the alleged illegal smuggling of cattle in Yavatmal district, Maharashtra.
According to reports, Bajrang Dal workers received information about suspected cattle smuggling along the Nagpur–Tuljapur National Highway on the night of 24 May. While keeping watch near the Bijora toll post, they spotted a pickup vehicle they suspected was transporting cattle illegally. Gajanan Suroshe pursued the vehicle in his car before it diverted towards Sukali village near Umarkhed.
Reports state that the accused surrounded Suroshe’s vehicle, dragged him out, and assaulted him with stones, iron rods, and wooden sticks. Local residents rushed him to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, Dnyaneshwar Suroshe, police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including murder. Several accused, identified as Sheikh Sultan Alavali, Alavali Sheikh, Irfan Sheikh, Ibrahim Sheikh, Asif Sheikh, Ayaz Qazi, and Arif Sheikh, were named in the case along with around 15 others. Police arrested some of the named accused and launched a search for the remaining suspects.

52. Sacred idol of Lord Hanuman desecrated at temple in Gariaband, Chhattisgarh
A sacred idol of Lord Hanuman was found desecrated at a temple in Bhendri-Jamgaon village under the Fingeshwar police station area of Gariaband district, Chhattisgarh. The idol was damaged using bricks and tiles, triggering anger among local residents and Hindu organisations. Traces of alcohol consumption and broken bricks and tiles were found near the temple premises.
Members of Hindu organisations, including Vishva Hindu Parishad district coordinator Mohit Sahu, visited the site along with police officials. Villagers later held a meeting under the leadership of Village Committee Chairman Bhekhlal Sahu and subsequently lodged a formal complaint at Fingeshwar police station, seeking action against those responsible. Hindu organisations also demanded strict legal action against the perpetrators.
During the discussions, some villagers expressed suspicion that a mentally disturbed man seen roaming in the village a week earlier could be linked to the incident. Police have initiated an investigation from all possible angles. Meanwhile, villagers announced that a new idol of Lord Hanuman would be installed at the same site on 17 June 2026.
