LUCKNOW: Delivering a spirited message from Haryana’s Jhajjar district, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called for nationwide unity to safeguard Sanatan Dharma, urging every Sanatani household to hoist the Dharma Dhwaj, the Sanatan flag, as a mark of cultural pride and spiritual commitment. Addressing an idol consecration ceremony and Aath Man Bhandara at Baba Palanath Ashram in Kablana village, the CM Yogi warned of what he described as growing attempts to push society, especially the youth, “towards darkness” through religious conversion, love jihad, and narcotics. He appealed to religious leaders to speak openly on these issues and to launch a coordinated campaign against such forces.

“The last time Bharat witnessed its golden age, it also faced foreign invasions. Today, foreign powers may attempt to destabilize India again, not by weapons but through drugs and conversion,” Yogi cautioned.

He said protecting Sanatan Dharma was synonymous with protecting India’s identity and global well-being. “No anti-Sanatan activities should ever be accepted. Sanatan can thrive only when we will stand together in unity. Whenever we were divided, by caste, region, language, or appeasement, we suffered as a nation. Division leads to downfall,” he said, calling for unity under the banner of Sanatan faith.

Referring to the Dharma Dhwaj now flying atop the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, he urged people to raise the same flag at their homes. “It’s not just a piece of cloth; it stands for India’s spiritual strength and victory. The saffron flag flying over Ayodhya shows that Sanatan Dharma will keep guiding humanity for all time,” he said.

The Chief Minister also drew attention to the increasing spread of narcotics, terming drugs a weapon to destroy the nation’s future. “Drugs numb the power to think. They are being smuggled into India to weaken the youth. We must save our coming generations before this poison takes hold of society,” he warned.

Emphasizing India’s ancient cultural depth, Yogi described Sanatan Dharma as the oldest spiritual tradition in the world, one that promotes harmony and universal welfare through diverse paths of devotion and knowledge. He highlighted the contribution of the Nath Sampradaya, tracing its origins to Adinath Bhagwan Shiva, in taking spiritual wisdom to the common man through its twelve sub-sects and yogic traditions.

“The numerous forms of Shiva worshipped across India symbolize our unity in diversity. The Nath tradition has kept alive the essence of devotion, discipline, and self-realization,” he noted.

Recalling the consecration of the Ram Temple, Yogi said, “On November 25, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the grand saffron flag at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, it marked the triumph of faith. For the first time, an Indian Prime Minister himself laid the foundation and performed the consecration ceremony, an event that showcased India’s civilizational resurgence before the world.”
