J&K Police on November 10 arrested a female doctor from Lucknow for her alleged involvement in an inter-state terror network operating across J&K, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
According to sources, a significant cache of explosives, ammunition, and an AK-47 rifle was seized from the possession of the female doctor, identified as Dr Shaheen. She was reportedly taken to Srinagar by the police for questioning. In connection with the case, seven others, including Dr Muzammil Ganai from J&K, have also been arrested. Sources further stated that investigators have recovered a total of 2,900 kilograms of explosives from those apprehended.
Sources stated that all the individuals were linked to the terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwa-ul-Hind, which reportedly involve educated professionals, including doctors and other white-collar workers. During the investigation, police also recovered a substantial cache of weapons and explosives from a rented apartment in Faridabad.
According to sources, key details of the terror module emerged after the arrests of Dr Adil Ahmad from Saharanpur and Dr Muzammil Ahmad from Faridabad. Investigators said that Dr Ganaie, who served as a teacher at Al‑Falah University, had stored explosives and ammunition at his residence. Among the items seized from the suspects were: one assault rifle, 83 live cartridges, a pistol, a large bucket of explosives, 20 timers, four batteries and a walkie‑talkie set.
