Faridabad Terror Bust: 2,900 kg of explosives, arms seized; “White-Collar Islamic” terror network exposed

In one of the largest counter-terror operations in recent years, security forces have recovered over 2,500 kilograms of explosives from a second house in Faridabad, Haryana, taking the total seizure to nearly 2,900 kilograms. The operation, carried out jointly by the Faridabad Police and Jammu and Kashmir Police, has uncovered a sophisticated terror module allegedly linked to Pakistan-backed outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH)

FARIDABAD: In one of the successful operations against terrorism, security forces recovered 2,563 kilograms of explosives from a second house in Fatehpur Taga village of Faridabad on November 10. The seizure followed an earlier recovery of around 360 kilograms of explosive materials from another location in the district, bringing the total haul to an astonishing 2,900 kilograms.

According to senior officials, the seized material is suspected to be ammonium nitrate, a common component in high-grade improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Preliminary investigations suggest the explosives were being stored for a large-scale terror strike in northern India.

Officials confirmed that a joint operation by Faridabad Police and Jammu & Kashmir Police has led to the arrest of seven suspects, including two doctors, revealing a disturbing nexus between radicalised professionals and foreign terror handlers.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Arif Nisar Dar alias Sahil, Yasir-ul-Ashraf, Maqsood Ahmad Dar alias Shahid, Molvi Irfan Ahmad (an imam from Shopian), Zameer Ahmad Ahanger alias Mutlasha, Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie alias Musaib, and Dr. Adeel. All hail from various districts in Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said a case has been registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Explosive Substances Act, and the Arms Act. Investigations are now focused on tracking the source of funding and logistical networks that sustained the module.

‘White-Collar Islamic Terror Ecosystem’ Unmasked
An intelligence officer described the findings as “a chilling example of a white-collar Islamic terror ecosystem.” The network allegedly involved “radicalised professionals and students in contact with foreign handlers operating from Pakistan and other countries.”

Suspected ammonium nitrate – no tests detailed yet, but this haul screams “major tragedy averted!” 3 docs, cleric, & 8 arrests in Kashmir-Haryana-UP web of radicalisation.

According to investigators, funds were routed through professional, academic, and charitable fronts to mask their real purpose. “The accused were responsible for identifying and recruiting new members, raising funds, and procuring materials for making IEDs and weapons,” an official said.

Following the Faridabad seizure, simultaneous raids were launched in Srinagar, Anantnag, Ganderbal, and Shopian districts of J&K. In addition, searches were conducted in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in coordination with state police.

Investigators are also tracing financial transactions and encrypted communications used by the suspects. “The flow of funds and foreign linkages are being examined. Every layer of this network will be dismantled,” a senior security official asserted.
