Guided by the timeless Vedic shloka –“Vayam rastre jagryāma purohitāh” (Yajurveda, Chapter 9, Verse 23), Zen Technologies stands committed towards building a stronger, self-reliant Bharat through ambition and innovation.

Founded in 1993, Zen Technologies has spent more than three decades pioneering Indian combat training simulation ecosystem. It has more recently played a pivotal role in developing and deploying its indigenous anti-drone defence systems, in combat zones. What began as a small ambitious team of engineers in Hyderabad is today a listed defence technology company with a global footprint, a shining symbol of Atmanirbhar Bharat in action.

In its initial years, Zen Technologies closely studied the gaps and future requirements of India’s defence landscape. With the nation heavily reliant on imports, from basic essentials to advanced weaponry, often without ownership of the underlying technology, it seemed an uphill task. Zen’s goal was clear: design and develop fully indigenous systems backed by relentless R&D to create proprietary IP, and deliver combat-ready solutions. The company started off with firearm and tank simulators, developing systems that could replicate real-world combat conditions while saving ammunition, reducing logistics costs and enhancing accuracy. Its early breakthroughs in Infantry Weapon Training Simulators and Driving Simulators established Zen as a trailblazer in defence simulation, long before “Make in India” became a national call.

Zen Technologies journey from a simulator start-up to a frontline defence-tech innovator is a testament to what Bharatiya minds can achieve when driven by national purpose

With time, Zen expanded from simulation to developing cutting-edge counter-drone systems, live fire ranges, and AI-enabled training platforms. Its flagship innovation, the combat proven Zen Anti-Drone System (Zen ADS), integrates radar, electro-optical sensors, and RF jamming to detect, track, and neutralise rogue drones. Tested in diverse terrains and already deployed by the Indian Army, Zen ADS represents a fusion of defence knowledge with modern digital warfare readiness. Equally significant are Zen’s Combat Training Centres, offering soldiers immersive, data-driven training experiences through AR/VR simulation and networked engagement systems. Each product is designed, developed and made in India, for Indian conditions, with global standards.

Relentless R&D & IP Creation

Today, Zen Technologies stands as one of Bharat’s most trusted defence innovators with 210 patents, 57 design registrations, and 180+ trademarks. Its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hyderabad symbolises the fusion of precision engineering, AI, and real-time analytics, enabling rapid product development and customisation. Zen’s products are now being exported to over 30+ countries, making it not only a national asset but also a global ambassador of Indian defence capability. In FY 2024–25, Zen achieved its highest-ever revenue and order book, powered by large-scale procurement of anti-drone systems, tank gunnery simulators, and live fire range equipment by the Indian Armed Forces.

Gearing Up for the Future

Zen Technologies is now gearing up for future-integrating AI, robotics, AR/VR, and autonomous systems into future training and battlefield solutions. Zen embodies the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat, combining innovation and ambition. Its journey from a simulator start-up to a frontline defence-tech innovator is a testament to what Bharatiya minds can achieve when driven by national purpose.
