Krishna Mohan has been appointed as a new trustee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, following the demise of Kameshwar Chaupal. Key updates were also shared on the Mandir construction and the upcoming Ram Katha Museum

Krishna Mohan, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district, has been appointed as a trustee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust. He succeeds Kameshwar Chaupal, who recently passed away. Like Chaupal, Krishna Mohan also belongs to the same social community.

The decision was made during a meeting of the trust held at Shri Mani Ram Das Chavni, chaired by Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. Of the 15 trustees, nine attended in person while three participated online. Krishna Mohan, who earned his MSc from Lucknow University in the 1970s, served in the Indian Forest Service in Maharashtra. Since retiring, he has been actively involved in social work.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra General Secretary Champat Rai announced that a religious flag will be hoisted on November 25, 2025. Preparations for the event are already underway. Unlike the Pran Pratishtha held on January 22, 2024, this occasion will see invitations extended to people from neighbouring districts of Ayodhya and across eastern Uttar Pradesh. When asked about the Prime Minister’s participation, Rai responded, “I cannot say anything on this right now.”

Rai also shared that the tenure of the construction agencies involved in the Shri Ram Mandir project has been extended until March 2026. Currently, the Mandirs boundary wall is under construction, and civil work on the International Ram Katha Museum is in progress. Once the civil work is completed, display installations will begin. The museum will depict the life and legacy of Bhagwan Shri Ram using advanced video projection technology.

“IIT-Madras is developing 3D to 7D projection systems for the Ram Katha Museum, which will house 20 galleries,” Rai said. “Efforts are also underway to preserve original copies of the Ramayana, which are being collected from various states.”

“A youth from Ayodhya district alone possesses 52 original copies of the Ramayana,” Rai added. “Museums across the country are being approached to either donate or lease documents and images related to Lord Ram. Sandeep Singh, a retired official from the National Museum, has been given the responsibility of overseeing the Ram Katha Museum.”
