Guwahati: Assam BJP President and MP Dilip Saikia launched a fiery attack on Congress MP and deputy LOP Gaurav Gogoi. Participating in the debate on “Operation Sindoor” in Lok Sabha the BJP leader attacked Gaurav Gogoi for his double standard regarding national security. MP Saikia said when deputy LOP Gaurav Gogoi was questioning the government and the Indian armed forces on Operation Sindoor in parliament, his speech was live telecast in Pakistan.

The Pakistani media was appreciating the Congress MP for his critical opinion on Indian armed forces’ success during Operation Sindoor. MP Saikia said, “I can give you the footage and pictures of the live telecast of Gaurav Gogoi’s speech in Pakistani media. They are appreciating the fact that India’s own MP and deputy LOP is doubting the capability of Indian armed forces and their government which is a matter of grief for the nation.”, Saikia said.

He further said, deputy LOP Gaurav Gogoi criticised Modi government and Indian armed forces regarding the ceasefire with Pakistan inside parliament, but on the other hand Assam government is conducting SIT investigation on the alleged link of MP Gaurav Gogoi and his British wife with Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. The British wife of the deputy LOP worked under the payroll of Pakistani agency ISI funded NGO. She has visited Pakistan 19 times while his husband was an MP and earlier when her father-in-law Tarun Gogoi was the CM of Assam. The deputy LOP had also visited Pakistan many times and in parliament he speaks on full-scale war with Pakistan. This is a double standard on national security and this will not be tolerated. The SIT investigation report will be out by September 10 and everything will be in front of the people.”, he added.

MP Saikia said that the Congress party can’t bear the truth. They always want to hide the truth and are never ready to listen to it. But the fact is that the Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) was taken under the Congress government only. Truth can’t be hidden as it makes its own way to be unfolded. It is the nature of the Congress party to go against the interest of the nation. He said that soon the PoJK will merge with Bharat and the Congress party which always thinks about breaking the nation into pieces will be resisted by PM Modi ji and BJP.

In a X post Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “The speech delivered by our MP from Jorhat in Parliament yesterday proved beyond doubt that he acts on behalf of Pakistan. His secret trip and close ties with the Pakistani establishment speak volumes. With his wife and both the kids holding foreign citizenship, he can leave India any time. He is a disgrace to Assam and a betrayal of our pride as proud Indian.”
