VHP: Bharat advancing towards renaissance via Hindutva; temples must be freed, conversions by Church, jihadis must stop

Despite stringent laws against conversions, the Church and jihadi elements are not relenting from deceitfully or forcibly converting Hindu society. At the same time, the growing number of children in mosques and madrassas is accompanied by incidences of adultery and separatism. They have to put a full stop to all such incidents

In a strongly worded statement that underscored the growing influence of Hindutva across the nation, Dr. Surendra Jain, Central Joint General Secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), addressed a press conference in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on June 28, declaring that “due to the rising wave of Hindutva, the whole country is moving towards renaissance. The nation is on the path of progress in every sphere of life and the whole world is also now looking at Bharat as a ray of hope. We will now free the society from the stigma of illegal conversions and keep Hindu temples out of government control. The proselytizing Christian missionaries and Islamic jihadi elements should realise that their nefarious designs will no longer succeed.”

He further emphasised the spiritual rejuvenation sparked by the ‘pran prathista’ of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya, stating, “the consecration of the grand temple of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya has infused a new consciousness and energy in the entire world. The crackdown on jihadi terrorism and Naxalism and the use of indigenously developed technology that give a befitting reply to the enemies of the country have made every Indian proud of their hardworking government and strong leadership.”

Full Stop to Conversions

Highlighting the persistent menace of religious conversions, Dr. Jain warned:

“Despite stringent laws against conversions and governments strictly adhering to them in dozens of states in the country, the Church and jihadi elements are not relenting from deceitfully or forcibly converting the gullible Hindu society. At the same time, the growing number of children in mosques and madrassas is accompanied by incidences of adultery and separatism. They have to put a full stop to all such incidents, including love jihad, else not only the government but also the society knows how to deal with them. The Church and Muslim organisations also need to introspect on these matters.”

Temple Liberation Campaign

Calling government control over temples a betrayal of Hindu faith, Dr. Jain stated,

“Government control over temples is a fraud on Hindu society. Whether it is the attacks on the property and management of temples, or on the offerings of the Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh, or more recently, the Bengal government’s award of contracts for the offerings of Digha’s Jagannath Dham to halal traders, many such incidents prove that secular governments cannot respect Hindu beliefs. Therefore, we have started the campaign to liberate temples, which started from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh on January 5, a people’s campaign to liberate our places of worship and hand them over to the Hindu society. All state governments should come forward in this regard immediately.”

Kanwar Yatra: A Symbol of National Unity

He also elaborated on the cultural and unifying significance of the Kanwar Yatra:

“Our Kanwar Yatra, which has been going on for centuries, has been a symbol of patriotism, national unity, social harmony and environmental protection. When a Hindu, full of devotion to Bhagwan Bhole, reaches Shivalaya after completing a journey of hundreds of kilometers without filling the water of the holy rivers with Devi Swaroopa, without keeping it on the ground, with a sattvik spirit, then that water becomes the nectar of a harmonious society and national integration. In this entire path, all distinctions of caste, language, creed, province, region, etc. are eliminated and these crores of devotees take the identity that they are Hindus and devotees of Bhole Baba.”

Criticising conspiratorial attempts to disrupt the pilgrimage, he said: “While the entire Hindu society pays obeisance to the Kanwariyas undertaking this arduous yatra, by providing resting places and massaging their feet, some Islamic Jihadi elements do not budge from their Halali mindset. Hindu society will no longer tolerate conspiratorial attacks like spit-jihad and urine-jihad by concealing one’s identity. Muslim organisations should come forward in this context and rein in all such people. We hope that the guidelines made by the government in this regard will be strictly enforced by all the concerned parties and no dispute will be allowed to arise.”
