The swayamsevaks of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) lead ordinary lives but often reach extraordinary heights through their actions, all while striving for the upliftment of society, said RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat while speaking at the launch of the two-volume book series Sangh – Jeevan Part 1 and 2 at the Shikshak Sahakari Bank auditorium in Nagpur.
The book is authored by Ramchandra Devtare and published by Nachiket Prakashan. “RSS swayamsevaks help everyone, live simple lives, but unintentionally reach extraordinary levels. They are aware that the entire society should reach that level,” he stated.
“The swayamsevaks do good work with ease; they do not need to make any special effort, and they continue to do so,” Dr Bhagwat emphasised.
He also underscored the importance of collective decision-making within the RSS, stating that the organisation’s actions and directions are determined through consensus. Dr Bhagwat noted that while leadership may be visible, it is the silent dedication of countless unnamed and selfless RSS swayamsevaks that truly drives the organisation.
During his address, he stated that Bharat’s freedom from the British was the result of a collective struggle.
Referring to the books released at the event, he said they are based on the direct experiences of the author, Ramchandra Devtare, and written in a simple, accessible style.
“These are simply written books… readable because the experiences noted in them are first-hand and raw. His experiences and learnings are clearly reflected in the books, and they have been written with a tone of gratitude,” he said.
It is to be noted that on June 7, RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat will be in Kanpur on a two-day visit starting today. He will attend two RSS vargs there.
