In a solemn moment for the spiritual community, Mahamandaleshwar Shri Swami Raghavanand Ji Maharaj, a revered figure in the Udasin sect, passed away on June 3. The Shri Guru Ram Rai Udasin Ashram in Aram Bagh, Paharganj, announced his demise with deep grief, calling it an “irreparable loss” to the community.
“From his presence, light and inspiration continued to flow into our lives. His absence is irreparable for all of us,” the Ashram’s official condolence message read. The message was signed by Prabalmuni Udasin, on behalf of the Ashram Management Committee and the entire Ashram family.
Swami Raghavanand Ji Maharaj, known for his humility, spiritual discipline, and devotion to service, had been a central spiritual figure at the Ashram. His teachings influenced generations of followers and seekers, and his life was widely regarded as a symbol of selfless service and divine wisdom.
In accordance with final rites, Maharaj Ji’s mortal remains have been placed in the Ashram’s main hall for devotees to pay their last respects. A funeral procession (shobha yatra) will begin at 3:30 PM from the Ashram premises and conclude at Panchkuian Road cremation ground by 4:30 PM.
