Aarti, daughter of N Ramachandran who was killed in the recent Pahalgam terror attack, expressed pride and emotional resolve following India’s decisive military response through Operation Sindoor. Ramachandran, a native of Edappally, Kochi, was gunned down by terrorists in front of Aarti’s eyes.

Speaking to the media, a visibly moved Aarti said, “It is a matter of pride that the country is doing this for us. We were standing on our soil. On that soil, they came and killed innocent people without any mercy. India should retaliate in the same way. I too cannot make up for the loss I have suffered. I cannot forget the sights I saw. But now I am proud to be an Indian. I believe the Prime Minister’s words.”

In a swift and coordinated action, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting major terrorist infrastructure across the border. The joint operation by the Army, Air Force, and Navy was carried out after precise intelligence gathering, resulting in significant damage to terror outfits.

Key camps under Jaish-e-Mohammed, including one linked to Masood Azhar, were struck. The Lashkar-e-Taiba headquarters in Muridka and the Jaish base in Bahawalpur were also destroyed. Reports indicate over 600 terrorists were killed, and many others injured. The operation involved the use of advanced precision weapons, including French-made Scalp missiles and cruise missiles. Indian forces fired nine missiles at nine strategic terror centres simultaneously. Intelligence agencies had previously identified and mapped these locations, enabling an accurate and coordinated strike.

Meanwhile, Pakistani shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir claimed the lives of three civilians. Several houses were destroyed, and fires broke out in the affected areas. Border regions, including Uria, have been placed on high alert, and residents have been relocated to safer zones.

Operation Sindoor is being hailed as one of India’s most impactful military responses in recent years, symbolising the country’s zero-tolerance approach to cross-border terrorism.
