Bahrain witnessed a grand spiritual celebration on Friday, April 18, 2025, when over 3,000 devotees gathered at the Durga Mata Mandir, Bramco Complex to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Sri Hanuman Janmotsav. The event began at 3:45 pm and culminated in an atmosphere of devotion, culture and collective prayer by evening.

The celebrations began with traditional Puja and a grand Hawan, giving the event a spiritual start. This was followed by a cultural performance inspired by Ramayan, which depicted the divine feats of Bhagwan Hanuman in a lively manner – becoming a source of deep reflection and inspiration for the devotees.

Key Highlights:

  • Honouring the second garment of Prabhu Shri Ram, which was obtained from Ayodhya, and brought to Bahrain with immense reverence
  • A divine Ram Lalla procession in which a child dressed as Shri Ram walked forward blessing the devotees present
  • Grand presentation of Shri Hanuman in palanquin accompanied by his powerful Vaanar Sena (monkey army) gave a live experience of Ramayan along with “Jai Bajrangbali” chants
  • Distribution of Prasad received from Shri Ram Mandir, Ayodhya for every devotee
  • Mass recitation of Hanuman Chalisa 108 times, followed by a special havan for the brave souls who are facing serious health challenges. This ritual took place under the “We Fight Together” campaign, in which devotees from all nationalities were invited to seek divine blessings

The event reached its climax with the Maha Aarti in the evening. Thereafter, prasad from the bhandara was distributed to the devotees, which included Hanumanji’s favourite laddu prasadi and the divine prasad received from Ayodhya – which further strengthened the atmosphere of harmony and devotion.

The holy festival was organised with reverence and utmost efficiency by a dedicated team led by Vijayan Kumaran. The event was not just a celebration of birth anniversary of Hanuman ji but also became a divine expression of unity, service and our shared cultural heritage.
