Following the shocking Beawar sexual exploitation case, another harrowing incident of gang rape and blackmail has surfaced in Rajasthan. Police have arrested eight individuals in connection with the gangrape of a woman in the Bhilwara district.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Ashraf Ali alias Ashraf Lala (22), Sanvir Mohammad Nilgar (23), Shahrukh Khan alias Bablu Rangrez (24), Khalid alias Dulha (25), Amir Khan Pathan (31), Soyabnoor Mohammad Mansuri alias Soyam (22), and Faizan Ghori Mansuri. Authorities are currently interrogating the accused and conducting searches for other individuals involved in the crime.

According to reports, a woman filed a complaint at the police station on March 2 this year. In her complaint, shared by SHO Gajendra Singh Naruka, the woman stated that she had gone to a cafe at Badla Chauraha in March of the previous year to meet her friend Ashraf Ali. Upon her arrival, Ashraf Ali was already there, accompanied by his friend Bablu. The woman claimed that Bablu served her a coffee laced with sedatives, causing her to lose consciousness after drinking it. Thereafter, Ashraf Ali allegedly took her to a room inside the cafe and raped her while his friend Bablu stood guard at the door. Ali also allegedly took pictures and videos of her, which he used to rape her several times and blackmail her.

According to the complaint, Ali shared her obscene photos and videos with his friends who blackmailed her and raped her many times.

The victim reportedly stated that Ashraf Ali’s associates, Amir and Shoaib, threatened her and coerced her into introducing them to other women. The accused also forcibly accessed her social media accounts. On January 1, 2025, Sanvir allegedly called her to a cafe and had unnatural sexual intercourse with her.

On March 1, 2025, the accused, Amir, called the victim to meet him at Shivaji Park. Upon her arrival, he pressured her to introduce him to other women and behaved inappropriately. The victim resisted Amir’s advances and began shouting, attracting the attention of people nearby. Fearing for her safety, she fled the scene and returned home, where she informed her family about the incident. SP Dharmendra Yadav has entrusted the investigation to DSP City Manish Badgurjar.
