Prayagraj: Thousands of youths from Janjatiya communities from across Bharat participated in the Janjatiya Yuva Mahakumbh, marking the beginning of a four day gathering of the people of Janjatiya communities in the holy city.
Addressing the gathering, Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj said “just like all you tribal brothers have come to Mahakumbh with your customs, tradition, culture with ease, all the sants will have to go to the forest region again and again to experience the purity and simplicity of Vanvasi life”.
Expressing his views, Swami Ji further said “that, all of us (sants) and those who understand their responsibility towards Aranyak culture will have to go to the Van kshetra again and again and mingle with the Janjati society. We need to talk and have food together as we all are integral parts of the same Sanatan Dharma”.
The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mahamandleshwar Swami Raghunath Bappaji Maharaj, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Ji Uike, National President of Kalyan Ashram Shri Satyendra Singh Ji, former President of National Commission for Scheduled Tribes Shri Harsh Chauhan, Padma Shri Chaitram Ji Pawar.
While delivering the keynote address of this Yuva Kumbh, former National President of NCST Shri Harsh Chauhan Ji spoke about the significance of the ongoing Kumbh and the efforts being made to protect the identity and existence of the Janjati society. “The Maha Kumbh, a symbol of Sanatan culture is in actuality the original form of the consciousness of Aranyak culture which can be experienced in participating in this Kumbh, he said.
Mahamandleshwar Raghunath Bappa also expressed his views stating, “that Janjati society is a part of Sanatan in every aspect and no one can either separate it or can stay away from it for a long time. Our living with nature means carrying fruits, flowers, natural resources with us in our lives; this is a matter of experience which we can witness in this Kumbh”.
Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Government of India, Shri Durgadas Uike Ji said that, anti-social forces working behind the scenes are trying to change the tribal society in every way by luring it through discussions and social media. “Youths like you, should take initiative against this. They should be countered with their weapons only. History is witness that whenever the youth has taken the reins of the struggle, changes has happened. Therefore, you should take this message from here that the transformative youth will bring change in the Janajati regions as well, he said.
The gathering was further addressed by the Akhil Bharatiya Pramukh of Kalyan Ashram Satyendra Singh Ji, who while interacting with the youth, said that what we know and believe about our society should be presented through various mediums. Accordingly, he called upon the youth present to make their own image, study and gain the ability to lead their society with a fighting spirit.
Some prominent youth activists also expressed their views as a pledge for the purpose for which this conference of tribal youth from all over the country was organized. A manifesto carrying seven important points for the young participants were also revealed during the program.
