The Soros Nexus: How global ecosystem rallied behind Mohammad Zubair to target Indian Sovereignty

Mohammad Zubair, the so-called fact-checker who claims to be an icon of free and independent journalism, is alleged to be part of a George Soros-funded global network working to destabilise India and undermine its cultural identity. The coordinated support from Soros-backed NGOs, media outlets, and political entities highlights an orchestrated effort to target India's sovereignty

The story of Mohammad Zubair, widely regarded as an independent fact-checker running a donation-funded portal exposing so-called lies, unravels a far more sinister reality when scrutinised closely. A deeper dive reveals Zubair to be a central figure within a vast global network orchestrated by George Soros, whose agenda appears to be destabilising India and eroding its cultural and civilisational identity.

In October 2024, an FIR was filed against Mohammad Zubair in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, for provoking violence through his activities. This legal action came after his earlier arrest in 2022 by the Delhi Police over controversial social media posts. While these incidents raised valid questions about his actions, they also triggered an international backlash from NGOs, media outlets, and political entities, many of which share a common benefactor: George Soros.

The following report exposes the ecosystem supporting Zubair and his likes despite not qualifying to the standards of being a journalist, these people get treatment as if they are the sole proponents of free journalism in India.

The Ecosystem Unveiled: Key Players Rally Behind Zubair

Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ): CPJ, a prominent New York-based NGO, known for its advocacy for journalist rights, pressured the Indian government to drop charges against Zubair. This was despite the fact that Zubair does not qualify as a journalist. Unsurprisingly, CPJ receives substantial funding from George Soros’ Open Society Foundation (OSF), highlighting the nexus at play.

Amnesty International: Amnesty International condemned the FIR against Zubair and demanded that charges be dropped. This aligns with Amnesty’s history of targeting India on various issues. Amnesty’s financial ties to Soros’ OSF are well-documented, making its involvement in this case predictable.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF): RSF, a Paris-based NGO that publishes the contentious Press Freedom Index, joined the fray. It not only criticised India’s actions but also amplified global narratives against the country. RSF is another Soros-funded organisation, further cementing the link between these groups.

Human Rights Watch (HRW): Based in New York, HRW labelled the FIR a human rights issue. This raises pertinent questions: Why is a case involving a self-proclaimed fact-checker being elevated to a global human rights agenda? HRW’s funding by Soros’ OSF provides a clear answer.

Coordinated Media and NGO Campaigns

Index on Censorship: This London-based NGO, known for its advocacy of freedom of expression, published articles defending Zubair. Index on Censorship, also funded by Soros, has previously criticised Elon Musk for promoting free speech on X, revealing its selective approach to free expression.

PEN International: Initially founded to promote cooperation among writers, PEN International condemned the FIR against Zubair. Ironically, Zubair is neither a writer nor a journalist. PEN International’s operations are heavily backed by Soros’ OSF.

OCCRP (Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project): OCCRP, another Soros-linked entity, published articles portraying Zubair as a victim, ignoring his controversial actions and their consequences within India.
Pierre Larrouturou: A member of the European Parliament and board member of the Spinelli Group, Larrouturou has consistently attacked India on issues ranging from Manipur to Zubair’s legal troubles. The Spinelli Group, a known Soros-backed organisation, is intertwined with the EU’s deep state.

United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF): USCIRF, a US federal body, maintains a dedicated page on Zubair, showcasing unprecedented attention to an individual who is not even a US citizen. Soros-linked individuals dominate the staff of USCIRF, further explaining this intervention.

A joint letter signed by multiple NGOs worldwide demanded the Indian government drop the FIR against Zubair. A striking pattern emerged: most of these organisations are funded by George Soros. Examples include:

Digital Rights Foundation (Pakistan): Based in Pakistan, this organisation’s involvement highlights cross-border activism aligned against India. It, too, receives funding from Soros.

International Press Institute (Vienna): A Vienna-based organisation dedicated to press freedom, it also signed the letter and is another recipient of Soros’ financial support.

Global media outlets such as Al Jazeera joined the campaign, running stories to portray Zubair as a victim of state repression. Al Jazeera, widely recognised for its ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, has significant overlap with Soros’ financial ecosystem. Protests in Bangladesh further amplified the narrative, showcasing cross-border coordination to support Zubair.

On December 6, 2024, a webinar featuring 12 speakers was organised to discuss Zubair’s case. Most of the speakers were from organisations with known funding links to Soros. Their rhetoric consistently targeted India, portraying the country as intolerant and oppressive, aligning with Soros’ broader agenda.

The rallying of global organisations, NGOs, and political figures behind Zubair points to a meticulously orchestrated effort to undermine India’s sovereignty. Soros’ ecosystem, through its extensive funding and influence, has exposed its agenda of weakening Hindu civilisation and destabilising India’s socio-political fabric.
