GORAKHPUR: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is organising its 70th ABVP National Conference at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, in which the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mahant Shri Adityanath will be the Chief Guest at the Professor Yeshwantrao Kelkar Youth Award Ceremony on November 24. This year, this prestigious award will be conferred to Deepesh Nair from Thane, Maharashtra, for playing a significant role in instilling life purpose and enthusiasm in hearing-impaired individuals through skill development and education.
In line with ABVP’s organisational structure, over 1,500 delegates from 44 provinces of Bharat and Nepal participated in the ABVP National Conference. Delegates including students, professors, and academicians are engaging in discussions over various issues related to education, society, culture, environment, etc in the National Conference.
Renowned Indian Businessman and CEO of Zoho Corporation, Sridhar Vembu, inaugurated this year’s ABVP National Conference on November 22. While addressing the delegates, Shri Vembu touched upon various topics including entrepreneurship, employment, self-reliance, and emerging technologies like Artificial intelligence.
ABVP National General Secretary, Virendra Solanki, stated, “The 70th ABVP National Conference in Gorakhpur serves as a significant platform to bring together students from diverse academic fields including humanities, science, management, engineering, medicine etc, and define their role in the nation building. Prof. Yeshwantrao Kelkar Youth Award is presented to those individuals who have made remarkable contributions in societal transformation. This year’s awardee, Shri Deepesh Nair, has paved the way for hundreds of specially-abled individuals to pursue a meaningful life.”
