Shedding light on the developmental programmes started in PM Modi’s regime, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that BJP has worked for the betterment of educational sector and the overall development of the state.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Abhinandan Samaroh 2024 program organized at Amrapali University, Haldwani.

“The youth program always fills me with enthusiasm and excitement,” the Chief Minister said. “Our youth are showcasing their talent in every field, be it education, technology, art, or sports. While realising their dreams, they are also playing a crucial role in bringing positive change to society. Amrapali University has made significant contributions in the field of education, and today, students from Amrapali are achieving success in every domain,” CM Dhami said.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the whole world is getting acquainted with the knowledge and power of India.

“In the last 10 years, India’s identity and power have grown globally,” the Chief Minister stated.

“Swami Vivekananda once said that man is a storehouse of infinite power and energy. A person simply needs to recognize this inner strength. I urge the youth to move in the right direction with positive thinking. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our state government is working swiftly in every sector for the overall development of the state. Many historic initiatives are underway, including the construction of Science Centres in Almora, Champawat, Dehradun, an Astro Park in Haldwani, and a Sports University. Additionally, we have introduced strict anti-cheating laws to ensure a better and secure future for our youth,” Dhami said.

“The state government has provided employment to more than 17,000 youth in government departments over the last three years,” the Chief Minister said.

“We have introduced a law to curb religious conversions in the state and freed over 5,000 acres of land from encroachment. Additionally, we have ensured 30 percent horizontal reservation for women in government jobs. The Uniform Civil Code will soon be implemented in the state as well. In the last 20 months, the state’s GSDP has grown by 1.3 times, and per capita income has increased by 26 percent in the last two years. Uttarakhand’s unemployment rate has decreased by 4.4 percent. Moreover, the state has secured the top position in the country in NITI Aayog’s list of Sustainable Development Goals. We are also working on measuring the Gross Environment Product,” he added.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is doing many works in the field of education. Work is being done on the infrastructure of government colleges and universities. 20 model colleges are being established in the state. IT labs, smart classes and women’s hostels are also being constructed in the state.

He said that the state government has signed MoUs with the British High Commission and Infosys Springboard. Under the scholarship, 05 students of the state will be sent to Britain for studies every year.
