RAIPUR: In a horrifying development, cadres of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) have killed two villagers on alleged charges of espionage after abducting and parading them before a self-styled public court in Mirtur area of violence ridden Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.

The development came to light on Thursday, September 11, hours after members of the far left group executed two villagers following framing charges of espionage against them, an accusation often labelled by the Maoists before executing villagers who dares to differ with the outlawed group.

According to the reports, the extremists abducted both the villagers along with a student from Jappemarka village under Mirtur police station limits of Bijapur on Tuesday, September 9. The Ultras later paraded the abducted villagers before a “Jan Adalat”, a self-styled court of the Maoists, accusing them for being police informers and subsequently hanged them on nearby trees in full public view. The abducted student was reportedly released by the Maoists.

Following the execution, the extremists pasted hand written notes on the bodies of the deceased claiming responsibility for the horrifying act. As per the details, Bhairamgarh Area Committee of the Maoist has claimed the responsibility of the murders. The deceased villagers have been identified as Madvi Suja and Podiyam Kosa, both resident of Bijapur district.
