Rahul Gandhi’s speech at ‘CIA Spy Factory’ event moderated by ex-clinton aide Edward Luce sparks controversy

Rahul Gandhi’s latest foreign trip has drawn additional controversy following his participation in a discussion at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS). The event, moderated by Edward Luce, has attracted attention due to the SFS’s contentious reputation as the “Spy Factory of the CIA,” with claims that it serves as a training ground for operatives in national security.

The SFS has been criticised for its ties to organizations linked with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Qatari royal family, with several faculty members receiving substantial grants from these entities. The faculty’s connections to Al Jazeera and involvement with Islamic organizations that oppose India have further fueled controversy surrounding the event and Gandhi’s participation.

A recent report by Disinfo Lab, titled “The Invisible Hands: Foreign Interference in Indian Elections 2024,” alleges that various Western entities have invested substantial resources to influence the 2024 Indian Lok Sabha elections. The report accuses the US-based Henry Luce Foundation (HLF), George Soros’ Open Society Foundation (OSF), and French Indologist Christophe Jaffrelot of engaging in a coordinated effort to sway Indian voters.

A recent 85-page report by Disinfo Lab claims that various global actors, including academic and media figures, sought to shape public opinion during the Indian Lok Sabha elections held from April 19, 2024, to June 1, 2024. The report highlights Christophe Jaffrelot, noted for promoting anti-India narratives through Western media, and cites his advocacy for a caste census—a key issue in the Congress Party’s manifesto—as evidence of his influence.

The report also examines Rahul Gandhi’s engagement with Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, known for its intelligence connections, and the controversial background of event moderator Edward Luce. It raises concerns about the funding ties of SFS faculty, further fueling debate over foreign interference in the election process.

Rahul Gandhi at Georgetown — while you all dissect what he said there, it is also important to know few things that common Indians dona ’t know. So what is all that? Let us start?

A recent social media post critiques Edward Luce’s background, noting his family’s colonialist history and his previous roles, including serving as the South Asia bureau chief for the Financial Times from 2001 to 2006 and as a speechwriter for Treasury Secretary Larry Summers during the Clinton administration. Educated at Oxford and married into an Indian family, Luce now resides in Washington, D.C., and is the chief U.S. commentator for the Financial Times.

The post points out that Luce has blocked numerous pro-BJP individuals on Twitter and is known for his critical writing about India and its leadership. It also highlights the coincidence that the Financial Times, where Luce works, has been critical of the Adani Group. The post draws a parallel to the Congress Party’s origins, suggesting that Luce’s engagement with Rahul Gandhi is part of a broader pattern of Western influence.

Remember the journalist who frequently asks questions about Kejriwal to the UN and USA regarding Indian matters?
He is Mushfiqul Fazal, a Bangladeshi.

He met Pappu last night, and he's met him before as well.

So, it's clear that the Congress ecosystem is behind this.

Amitab Chaudhary and others have shared an image on the social media platform X, featuring an alleged news report headline questioning whether Rahul Gandhi is from India or Pakistan. This headline reportedly emerged in American media following Gandhi’s controversial, divisive, and inflammatory statements against India, its government, and its majority community while abroad.

Another post reads, “American singer Mary Millben reflects on the challenge of supporting a leader who consistently speaks negatively about their own country, addressing Congress scion Rahul Gandhi.”

Netizen Yogesh Goel (Review Wala) expressed his discontent, stating, “He isn’t even a true leader. How can someone who aspires to lead speak ill of the country they wish to lead? It’s disgraceful. People like him don’t even deserve a place in hell. Besides, they aren’t loyal to India—they are loyal to Italy.”

He is not even a leader. How can a leader say ill about the country of which he wants to become a leader. I mean shame. Ppl like him shud not get a place even in hell. Waise their country is not India. They r loyal to Italy.

One netizen inquired, “Is this really the true face of Rahul Gandhi? Can anyone confirm?”

Everyone is keen to see what action the current government will take against Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition, who has consistently voiced anti-India rhetoric and followed narratives set by figures such as George Soros and other elements of the Deep State.
