Vishal Kumar, at the young age of 19, was tragically targeted and killed by Islamic terrorists from the Campus Front of India (CFI) for his steadfast devotion to Maa Bharati and his efforts to counter anti-national propaganda in Kerala.
Vishal Kumar’s journey was marked by his deep-rooted love for his motherland. Originally hailing from the Alappuzha district, Vishal had travelled to the United Kingdom (UK) to pursue his education. However, his passion for his country called him back to Kerala. Inspired by the ideals of nationalism, Vishal returned with a mission to kindle the flame of patriotism among the youth in his homeland.

On this day in 2012, he was brutally attacked and killed by members of the Campus Front of India, a radical student organisation known for its extremist views and affiliations with the Popular Front of India (PFI). His untimely death was a significant blow to the nationalist movement in Kerala. Still, it also served as a rallying point for those who believed in the cause Vishal had championed.
Today, ABVP pays heartfelt tributes to Vishal Kumar on his balidan diwas (day of sacrifice).
