ABVP remembers Vishal Kumar on his Balidan Diwas: A Beacon of Patriotism and Sacrifice

The ABVP commemorates Vishal Kumar, a 19-year-old ABVP Karyakarta from Chengannur Christian College, who was tragically killed by Islamic terrorists from the CFI for his unwavering patriotism. On this solemn day, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) commemorates the memory of Vishal Kumar, a dedicated ABVP Karyakarta from Chengannur Christian College, who became a symbol of ultimate sacrifice and unwavering patriotism. Vishal Kumar, at the young age of 19, was tragically targeted and killed by Islamic terrorists from the Campus Front of India (CFI) for his steadfast devotion to Maa Bharati and his efforts to counter anti-national propaganda in Kerala.

Vishal Kumar’s journey was marked by his deep-rooted love for his motherland. Originally hailing from the Alappuzha district, Vishal had travelled to the United Kingdom (UK) to pursue his education. However, his passion for his country called him back to Kerala. Inspired by the ideals of nationalism, Vishal returned with a mission to kindle the flame of patriotism among the youth in his homeland.

On this day in 2012, Vishal Kumar, an ABVP Karyakarta of Chengannur Christian College, became a beacon of sacrifice, targeted by Islamic terrorists from the Campus Front of India for his unwavering dedication to Maa Bharati in Kerala.

Upon his return, Vishal joined Chengannur Christian College and became an active member of ABVP, India’s largest student organisation known for its commitment to nationalism and social service. His dynamic personality and dedication made him prominent in the college and the Alappuzha district. He worked tirelessly to promote the values of unity, integrity, and patriotism among his peers, encouraging many to join ABVP and stand against the divisive forces threatening the nation.

Vishal’s unwavering commitment to his ideals made him a target for those opposed to his beliefs. On this day in 2012, he was brutally attacked and killed by members of the Campus Front of India, a radical student organisation known for its extremist views and affiliations with the Popular Front of India (PFI). His untimely death was a significant blow to the nationalist movement in Kerala. Still, it also served as a rallying point for those who believed in the cause Vishal had championed.

Today, ABVP pays heartfelt tributes to Vishal Kumar on his balidan diwas (day of sacrifice). His legacy continues to inspire countless young individuals across the nation to uphold the values of nationalism and work towards the unity and integrity of India. Vishal’s story is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by many in the fight against divisive ideologies and anti-national elements.

In memory of Vishal Kumar, ABVP has organised various events and programs to honour his contribution and reinforce the message of nationalism. Seminars, rallies, and discussions are being held across Kerala to remember Vishal and encourage the youth to follow in his footsteps. ABVP leaders emphasise the importance of staying vigilant against forces that threaten the country’s unity and call upon students to draw strength from Vishal’s legacy.

Vishal’s story serves as a powerful call to action, urging the younger generation to remain steadfast in their dedication to the nation and to continue the fight against divisive forces.
