A Hindu woman has come forward with serious allegations of violence and a larger conspiracy against her Muslim husband, Saifuddin, involving claims of ‘love jihad’. She has also implicated a Congress leader in the alleged network. The case was registered in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, with six other individuals named alongside unidentified persons.

The victim, originally from the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, filed her complaint at the Gudamba police station in Lucknow. Saifuddin, the accused, hails from Bidar, Karnataka. The woman has shared her harrowing experience with the media, providing detailed accounts of her ordeal.

Speaking to ABP News, the victim recounted how Saifuddin initially approached her as a client. Over time, he began courting her, sharing his personal troubles, and persuading her to marry him. She alleged that he would mix pills in his drinks and claimed to be distressed by family issues. Eventually, Saifuddin drugged her, sexually assaulted her, and recorded explicit videos to blackmail her.

The woman accused Saifuddin of systematically trapping girls from various states like Mumbai, Delhi, and Gujarat. He allegedly lures them with job offers in beauty parlours and other benefits, only to later sell them to Gulf countries for exploitation, including forced mujra performances. She mentioned knowing several girls working in bars in Bahrain. Additionally, she implicated a Congress leader in Bidar, who is related to Saifuddin, accusing him of assault and attempted rape.

The victim revealed that she had spent the last six to seven years living and working in Bahrain and Dubai, where she initially met Saifuddin. After befriending her, Saifuddin raped her, resulting in pregnancy. When she filed a complaint in Bahrain, she was pressured to withdraw it and convert to Islam. Succumbing to the pressure, she converted and married Saifuddin on February 13, 2024. She narrated, “One day, he sexually assaulted me in Bahrain and I lodged a rape complaint there. While the matter was under investigation, Saifuddin and his family members persuaded me to withdraw the complaint after I became five months pregnant as a result of the rape. They also pressured me to change my religion. Later, on February 13, 2024, I was married to Saifuddin according to Muslim law.”

She further disclosed that Saifuddin brought her to Mumbai under the pretence of medical treatment. At a hospital, her pregnancy was terminated without her consent. Subsequently, she was taken to Bidar, where she endured physical and mental torture by Saifuddin, his brother Sabiruddin, and other family members. She also named Monika, Saifuddin’s girlfriend, as one of the perpetrators.

Following her detailed complaint, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against Saifuddin, his four brothers, sister, and Monika under Sections 498A (cruelty by husband or relatives), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 313 (causing miscarriage without consent) of the Indian Penal Code. OpIndia has obtained a copy of the FIR.

The case continues to unfold as authorities investigate the serious allegations of violence, blackmail, and forced conversion. The involvement of a political figure adds a complex layer to the ongoing legal proceedings.
