Appeasement to Alliance: Congress and Islamic Fanaticism

The Congress party, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, finds itself embroiled in controversy yet again as it aligns with the Muslim League in the Wayanad constituency. Critics argue that this move is not only consistent with the Congress's historical legacy but also indicative of a continuation of past alliances, particularly with the Muslim League

Rahul Gandhi’s standing on the crutches of Muslim League in Wayanad Constituency once again is nothing new for the Congress but a continuity of the Congress legacy-particularly of Nehru. Since the pre-47 days Congress only recognized Muslim League as a party to talk with and consistently ignored the 13 party alliances of those Muslim parties under the leadership of Allah Bux Soomru which opposed the Pakistan demand tooth and nail. The Congress also opposed the Khaksars who had not only opposed Pakistan but twice made attempts on Jinnah’s life.

The biggest joke done with the Bhartiya people after 1947 was to make the Muslim League representatives continue in the Constituent Assembly for framing the Constitution of Bharat. At least 27 Muslim League members who had been elected on Muslim League tickets joined the Constituent Assembly as they decided not to go to Pakistan and Nehru welcomed them. Was this overnight transformation was a change of heart or a part of a plan of a slogan “Lard Ke Liya Hai Pakistan, Hass Ke Lenge Hindustan”. This was a slogan reported by the Intelligence Agencies but ignored by Nehru. How come Congress and Nehru who could not change the Fanatic ideology of Muslim League were happy at this overnight change? One of these members was also included in the seven members Drafting Committee. Many of them signed the constitution and then left for Pakistan in 1950. Those who didn’t go were given high positions in the Congress, both in the party as well as in public life. These included Sardar Luthfur Rahman as M.L.A., Syed Jafar Imam and Syed Mazhar Imam as Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha to cite a few. Begum Azaz Rasul was a member of Muslim League since 1935 and was elected to the Constituent Assembly as a member of Muslim League representing U.P. The Muslim League was dissolved in Bharat only 1950 and after that she joined the Congress. There are many more cases like this of Congress providing political shelter to these overnight turncoats.

Not only this, the houses of many Muslim League supporters who had migrated to Pakistan were lying empty at many places in the country. Sardar Patel has advised that these should be given to the Hindu and Sikh refugees who had lost everything in Pakistan and saving their lives only had migrated to Bharat. Nehru out rightly rejected this with a view that we will welcome them if they come back and many were accommodated too including the three Communist leaders who had gone to establish the Communist Party of Pakistan.

When Gopi Chand Bhargav arrested the Muslim leader of Nuhu who demanded Mewatistan in 1947, Nehru got him released stating that he had been told by Shri Prakash who met him in the jail “that such people are beneficial to us outside.” Gopichand Bhargav had to restore his bank accounts and reopen his Madarsa. We know what is happening in Mewat today but Congress would not condemn it.

When Nehru dissolved the Nambudripad Ministry in Kerala, since then the Congress has one section of the Muslim League as its ally in all the elections. The appeasement policy was not confined to or showering doles but in deferring a Universal Civil Code in the Democratic Republic of Bharat. Not only this, but in the definition adopted in the name of protecting minority rights, the definition of minorities as accepted by the United Nations was not applied in Bharat. The Muslim Personal Board and the WAKF Board were given extensive powers over the years. The illegal entry of Muslims from Bangladesh into Assam, West Bengal and Tripura continued and no serious efforts were made to check it- now Rohingyas who even settled in the back of Cantonment in Jammu in 2013. Will the Congress answer who took them there and why were they allowed?

More than 2 lakh Pakistanis who came to Bharat after 1950 on proper visas disappeared in the country but no serious attempts were made to trace them under the Congress regimes as it would have been detrimental to their appeasement vote politics. Inviting the third Governor General of Pakistan Malik Ghulam Muhammad as the Chief Guest of Republic Day in 1955 was another act of Pakistani appeasement. The induction of Articles 370 and 26A in the constitution were a maneuver of Nehru. His appeasement also led to the bondage of 200 Majbi Sikhs sent from Gurdaspur to Kashmir to work as scavengers with a promise of Kashmiri citizenship. And what Pattas in Urdu gave them was that their future generations only will do the same job of scavenging.

The Congress nurtures leaders like Digvijay Singh and Manishankar Ayer who have full praise for Pakistan and Digvijay Singh even join hands with Zakir Nayak-the terrorist Imam. Chidambaram of the Congress not only adopted a soft policy against terrorism but also coined and promoted the term Hindutva terrorism to appease and seek the Muslim votes. Instead of speaking against the criminals the Congress not only sheltered criminals like Mukhtar Ansari, Ateek Ahmad and continues to side with Azam Khan and many such who shower choicest abuses not on the BJP alone but on Hindus and Hinduism. What has been the response of Congress to the slogans “Sar Tan Se Juda” raised in different parts of the country, even under its own State Governments you all know. The Congress stand on Shahbanu case, Triple Talakh and Hijab are other samples of the so called emancipation of women that the Congress claims to be working for.

In all United Democratic Front Governments in Kerala the Indian Union Muslim League was not only an ally of the Congress but its members held key Cabinet positions. Its members also remained Ministers in the Central Government with portfolios like State Ministers for External Affairs and MHRD under Congress. Even in Bengal A.K. Hassan was a member of Ajoy Mukherjee Cabinet. K.M. Seethi Sahib served as the speaker of Kerala Assembly from 1960-61. In 1967, it had two ministers in the Kerala Government Md. Koya and Ahmad Kurikkal. It has consistently maintained its alliance with the Congress and Md. Koya was the Chief Minister of Kerala from October to December 1979. The Muslim League maintained it communal ideology and with more political empowerment and support of the so called “secular Congress” it has contributed to communal divide and rise of fanatics in Kerala. The IUML not only has a youth wing but also trains them army style.

One should not forget here that the PFI was formed in 2006 while the Congress led UPA Government ruled at the centre and its terror links were reported by the Intelligence agencies. Yet, no action was taken. It was only in September 2022 that National Investigating Agency and Enforcement Directorate raided its offices and arrested its leaders after it had been banned by the NDA Government. The PFI blatantly declared converting Bharat into an Islamic State by 2047 following what the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) had declared way back in 1986 with pasting posters under the title “India’s Liberation through Islam”. The same has been the policy of ISIS, and the ISI of Pakistan. The Congress Government never banned SIMI whose aim was to convert Bharat into Dar-ul-Islam by converting everyone either violently or by pressures and allurements. It was only the NDA Government that put a ban on it in 2001 after the Marad massacre when 8 Hindu fishermen were massacred. The Justice Thomas P. Joseph Commission concluded in its report that the Muslim League and the National Development Front were responsible for this massacre. The Intelligence Agencies regularly kept reporting on fanaticism but all such reports were ignored and put to the dustbin by the secular Congress leaders to push their own political agenda.

It is very interesting and important to note that the procession of Rahul Gandhi did not have even Congress flags when he went to file his nomination papers in Wayanad a few days back for the 2024 elections. Now were there the flags of Muslim League. It’s clear that Rahul Gandhi did not want the Muslim League flags and he greed even to the Muslim League’s pressure of then not having the Congress flags. Howsoever the dynastic spokespersons of Congress may shout to defend this in social media but the very absence of Congress flags proves it and no doubt Smriti Irani attacked the Congress strongly on this. There are many more aspects one can cite here and it is provable beyond doubt that Rahul is doing this for his political survival. Have you ever heard the Congressmen condemning or protesting against the Fanatic utterances of many Muslim leaders whether they may be from Samajwadi Party, RJD, TMC or the Congress itself? Its complete silence on violence against Hindus is another indicator of Muslim appeasement.

How come a secular democratic republic could introduce Haz subsidies and salaries for Maulavis in Madarsas and Imams? The Mosques will remain independent but the Hindu temples will be under Government Control? Hence, Rahul Gandhi choosing a Muslim dominated constituency for a second time is no surprise but a continuation of the Congress policy of Muslim appeasement and empowerment and the only additions being incidents like her mother could cry also after Islamic terrorists were shot at Batla House but had no sympathy for the Inspector who was killed.
