In a disturbing incident, YouTuber Rohit has come forward with allegations of assault and coercion after sharing his composition praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rohit claims that he was brutally beaten up by a group of Muslim men, who also subjected him to humiliating acts. Rohit further alleges that the group urinated on him and forced him to chant slogans praising Pakistan.

They forced him to riase, ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogan and also snatched the picture of Bhagwan Ram from his hand and molested him. This happened in a Congress-ruled state of Karnataka.

Rohit Kumar, a resident of Mellahalli village, was sharing the link of his song when he was accosted by a group of individuals. One of them took offense to the song’s content, which lauded PM Modi. The situation escalated quickly as Rohit was subjected to verbal abuse, physical assault, and humiliating actions.

According to Rohit, he was forcibly taken into a room where he was attacked, his mouth was covered, and he was coerced into shouting slogans in favour of Pakistan. The assailants also reportedly molested him, poured beer on him, burned his hands with cigarettes, and beat him severely.

Speaking about the incident, Rohit recounted, “I had released a song in praise of PM Modi last week. I was sharing my channel link and asking everyone to subscribe to it. One of them emerged from the vicinity of the government guest house. I did not know that he was a Muslim.” He further added, “They began to abuse me for writing a song about Prime Minister Modi. They then instructed me to shout ‘Pakistan Zindabad.’ They also snatched the picture of Lord Ram from my hand and molested me.”

The timely intervention of the Nazarbad Police saved Rohit from being further harmed. He was promptly rescued and provided with medical attention. However, the incident has sent shockwaves through the local community and sparked outrage among netizens.

Mysuru Police Commissioner Ramesh B addressed the issue, stating, “We are confirming the information. If he lodges a complaint, the details will be shared soon based on the same. The government guest house has CCTV cameras. We will verify all of them and investigate further.”

The assault on Rohit Kumar highlights the need for tolerance and respect for differing opinions in a democratic society. It also underscores the importance of safeguarding freedom of expression, regardless of political affiliations. Authorities are urged to swiftly investigate the matter and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice, sending a clear message that such acts of violence will not be tolerated.
