Telugu movie industry icon Megastar Chiranjeevi made a significant announcement at a pre-release event in Hyderabad for Prashanth Varma’s upcoming movie ‘HanuMan.’

The Megastar revealed that for every ticket sold for the film, the makers would contribute Rs 5 to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Mandir in Ayodhya. The announcement adds a philanthropic touch to the much-anticipated superhero movie, scheduled for release on January 12.

‘HanuMan,’ featuring Teja Sajja in the lead role, explores the superhero theme, delving into Hanuman’s immortal powers as a deity who continues to watch over his devotees. The movie will mark the beginning of a superhero series planned by Prashanth Varma, with the next installment titled ‘Adhira.’

The film’s release is set to coincide with other Tollywood Sankranthi releases, including Mahesh Babu’s ‘Guntur Kaaram,’ Nagarjuna’s ‘Naa Sami Ranga,’ and Venkatesh’s ‘Saindhav.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ event, the consecration ceremony, at Ayodhya’s Ram temple on January 22.

The temple, constructed in the traditional Nagara style, will span 380 feet in length (east-west direction), 250 feet in width, and reach a towering height of 161 feet. The three-storeyed structure will have floors each 20 feet high, adorned with 392 pillars and 44 gates.

The consecration ceremony guest list includes over 7,000 individuals, featuring cricket icons Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, and billionaire industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.

According to the temple construction committee chairperson, the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is slated for completion by December this year. The sprawling temple complex will also house additional structures. The announcement by Megastar Chiranjeevi adds a charitable dimension to the broader narrative surrounding the cultural and spiritual significance of the upcoming movie release and the consecration of the Ram temple.
