In anticipation of the historic consecration of Ramlala in the grand Ram temple on January 22, 2024, the Yogi Adityanath-led government is set to organise a grand rehearsal, treating the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30 as a prelude to the momentous occasion. The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate significant projects, including an international airport and a majestic railway station, and gift Ayodhya projects worth thousands of crores.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his recent visit to Ayodhya, issued clear directives to ensure that the city is adorned with the same grandeur and splendour as planned for the Pran Pratishtha program in January. The chief secretary of the state has been instructed to oversee the meticulous preparations for the rehearsal, emphasising the need for coordination among various agencies, including the Public Works Department, Government Construction Corporation, Development Authority, and Ayodhya Municipal Corporation.

The heart of Ayodhya’s grandeur lies in its roads, and CM Yogi Adityanath has called for a transformation of the four main arteries – Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Janmabhoomi Path, and Dharma Path. These roads are to be adorned with attractive flower decorations, including flower pots along the footpaths and aesthetically pleasing railings along the main carriageway of Ram Path. Lighting and facade works on these vital routes are expected to be completed within a week, ensuring a visual spectacle that befits a world-class tourist city.

The chief minister envisions Ayodhya as a shining example of excellence, and the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Modi is seen as an opportunity to showcase the city’s transformation. The directive includes decorating the Dharam Path from the highway towards Naya Ghat and the road from the airport to Nayaghat with attractive flowers, mirroring the ornate four-lane road from Sultanpur Road to the airport. Additionally, Ayodhya bypass on the Lucknow-Gorakhpur national highway is to be adorned with colourful railings and attractive flowers in its median.

The Yogi government’s commitment to cleanliness is reflected in the directive to ensure that roads in Ayodhya are free of dust and dirt. Welcoming the Prime Minister with a shower of flowers has been emphasised, creating an inviting atmosphere for the dignitary. The construction of gates from Ayodhya Airport to various parts of the city is underway, with special attention to their aesthetic appeal.

As the Yogi government tirelessly prepares for Ramotsav-2024, it aims not only to make Ayodhya Ram-maya but the entire state as well. The festivities, set to kick off on December 30, are expected to mark the beginning of a month-long celebration leading up to the consecration of Ramlala and the grand Ram temple. The government is keen on ensuring that the Ramotsav becomes the biggest event in the history of India, showcasing the cultural and spiritual heritage of the country.

The grand rehearsal for the Pran Pratishtha programme is a testament to the meticulous planning and dedication of the Yogi government in transforming Ayodhya into a city of global prominence. With Prime Minister Modi’s visit expected to be a spectacle of grandeur and cultural richness, Ayodhya is poised to become a symbol of India’s spiritual and architectural legacy on the world stage.
