Ayodhya Ram Mandir Consecration: RSS embarks on grand outreach programme

In a concerted effort to connect with Hindu families across the Kashi Prant region, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has unveiled an ambitious plan to distribute Akshat (unbroken rice used in puja), Patrak (invitation), and a photo of the Ram Mandir in over 22,000 villages spanning 17 districts. This extensive campaign is set to take place between January 1 and 15, leading up to the consecration ceremony of the Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22.

To ensure the success of this outreach initiative, the RSS has decided to form 15 to 20 groups, known as ‘tolis,’ at the village level. These groups, totaling 55,000, will comprise women and other community members. The organisation aims to establish committees at various administrative levels, including khand, mandal, ward, and block, to facilitate the distribution process. A senior RSS functionary emphasised that the committees would be formed by December 17, with materials scheduled to be handed over at the nyay panchayat level by December 20.

Speaking about the meticulous planning involved, the functionary stated, “We have chalked out an elaborate plan to connect with all Hindu families in every village to distribute Akshat, Patrak, and a photo of the Ram Mandir. For this, senior functionaries have held a series of meetings and decided the role and responsibilities of around 3 lakh volunteers.”

The RSS leadership is actively engaging in meetings across all districts of Kashi Prant to discuss and finalise the execution of the plan. In an event held at Sultanpur district, Akshat Kalash were handed over to key figures, including Karyawah and Sanghchalak of Sultanpur, Kadipur, Amethi, and Jagdishpur, demonstrating the organisation’s commitment to ensuring the success of the initiative.

This move by the RSS underscores its dedication to fostering a sense of unity and religious fervour among Hindu communities in the lead-up to the historic consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. The distribution of symbolic items such as unbroken rice, invitations, and Mandir photos is aimed at creating a collective spirit of participation and celebration among Hindu households.

As the committees take shape and preparations intensify, the RSS is poised to play a pivotal role in connecting with diverse sections of the community, further solidifying its influence as a prominent cultural and social organisation in the region. The success of this outreach campaign will likely leave a lasting impact, contributing to the communal enthusiasm surrounding the momentous occasion of the Ram Mandir consecration.
