“Positive environment of development, security and prosperity prevails across country,” says UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Investors setting up industries in Uttar Pradesh will have a complete guarantee of security and every kind of facility in the state. They will not encounter challenges, whether related to safety or governance. Investors should invest in UP without hesitation because the government will wholeheartedly support them, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Tattva Plastic Pipe Factory built at a cost of Rs 110 crore in Sector 26 of GIDA, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated the infrastructure works over Rs 136 crore. The event also included the distribution of letters of intent along with the allotment of 102 plots to 97 entrepreneurs.

Encouraging investors and entrepreneurs, he said that the government will not only ensure a safe environment but will also provide the benefit of wider amenities. To facilitate this, online portals like ‘Nivesh Mitra’ and ‘Nivesh Sarathi’ have been created. Investors are being provided incentives by the government without any hindrance. “A positive atmosphere of development, security and prosperity has been created across the country.”

CM Yogi remarked that prior to 2017, Uttar Pradesh was widely known for its challenges as well as adverse conditions that prevailed in Gorakhpur. During that time, criminal activities and mafia groups dominated the society. Frequent incidents of violence and riots were common then, Yogi said, adding that corruption had reached unprecedented levels, leading to a crisis of identity among the state’s youth.

Progress and development had come to a grinding halt, as no one was willing to invest in an environment of insecurity. Institutions were also facing a decline in their value. Similar circumstances were observed throughout the state. However, over the past six years, since the double-engine government came into effect there has been a visible transformation across the state, thanks to the guidance and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Yogi asserted.

Attacking the opposition he said the construction of a slaughterhouse was underway during the Samajwadi Party government in 2005-06 I GIDA area, whereas today, instead of a slaughterhouse, there stands an ethanol plant. In addition, a pipe factory has been established to support the Har Ghar Nal scheme and a dairy plant is in the process of being set up. These initiatives have generated employment opportunities for young individuals, CM remarked.

Referring to his interactions with the Tatva Plastics employees, the Chief Minister noted that a majority of the workforce hails from Eastern Uttar Pradesh. When youth in Uttar Pradesh find employment opportunities in their own districts or nearby areas, there is no need for them to migrate. The current employment scenario in GIDA exemplifies this positive change.

The Chief Minister noted that the Global Investors Summit held this year received investment proposals worth Rs 36 lakh crore. Remarkably, Gorakhpur alone received investment proposals of over Rs 2.25 lakh crore. If these Rs 36 lakh crore worth of investment proposals materialize, it holds the potential to generate employment opportunities for one crore youth. The distribution of letters of intent for the establishment of 102 new industries in GIDA will create massive job opportunities.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that land has been designated for 102 industrial ventures. As these industries begin to take shape, the hiring process will commence, creating job opportunities. With this in mind, he asked the GIDA administration to establish skill development centres for local youth and offer courses tailored to the requirements of local industries. This initiative aims to facilitate the integration of more local young individuals into these industries. Providing employment opportunities locally will shield the youth from the adverse effects of migration during crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing them to contribute to the growth of the industry while maintaining their households.

CM Yogi emphasized that the GIDA administration has proactively advanced several programs, including the development of roads, drainage systems and street lighting, to ensure top-notch infrastructure facilities for the industries. He further stressed that industrial zones should be designed to offer an exceptional environment, catering not only to the establishment of industries but also enhancing the quality of life for all employees working in the area. He noted that numerous industries have commenced operations in the Gida region in recent days.

He said that the GIDA is undergoing significant expansion, with the government extending it from Sahjanwa to Dhuriapar. A large-scale program is underway to establish industries on over 5,000 acres in Dhuriapar alone, promising job opportunities for the youth in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister highlighted that the people will reap the advantages of the favourable developmental environment established in Uttar Pradesh and Gorakhpur.

Following the inauguration of the newly constructed facility belonging to Tatva Plastic Pipes Private Limited in Gida Sector 26, the Chief Minister conducted a thorough inspection of the factory grounds and closely observed the production operations. He extended his congratulations to Gagan Goyal, the Managing Director of Tatva Plastics, for establishing the industry. He further emphasized that the government has created a secure environment for investors and has also put various provisions in place to enhance their convenience.

During an event held at GIDA Sector 26, allotment letters for 102 plots were presented to 97 investors and entrepreneurs in the presence of CM Yogi. He personally handed over plot allotment letters to 14 investors. The establishment of various units on these 102 plots is expected to attract an investment of approximately Rs 900 crore. Once these investments materialize, it is anticipated that around 4,500 job opportunities will be created.
Sahjanwa MLA Pradeep Shukla gave the welcome address at the function. On this occasion, Mayor Dr Manglesh Srivastava, BJP State Vice President and MLC Dr Dharmendra Singh, MLA Shriram Chauhan, Mahendrapal Singh, Dr Vimlesh Paswan, BJP District President Yudhishthir Singh, administration and GIDA officials etc. were prominently present.
