In a shocking case reported in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh, a 20-year-old Hindu woman was trapped by a middle-aged man who raped and impregnated her with the help of his family. The woman who came to Raipur from Durg in search of a job was lured by the 51-year-old man in the wake of extra salary. After being repeatedly abused and sexually assaulted the victim finally registered a complaint against him after which he was arrested.

The accused has been identified as Nabi Alam Khan, a native of Raipur district of Chhattisgarh, while the victim lives in Durg.

The victim moved to Raipur in order to look for jobs, she had little parlour experience and hence was hired by a parlour in Raipur. She lives in a rented place in Raipur and supports her family back in the town.

Almost a year ago, the woman came in contact with Nabi Alam who promised her employment at a higher salary. He established contact with her and started talking regularly so as to gain her trust. Later, he called her at a higher pay to his office.

During the job, Nabi Alam raped the victim, multiple times. Then this became a routine, whenever the victim protested, he used to pacify her promising marriage. He also moved the woman to another place where he could easily come and go.

Over a period of time, the victim turned pregnant and this made him anxious. He informed his wife and son who helped in getting the fetus aborted. Later on, the whole family started assaulting and abusing the victim. They used to beat her up on a regular basis.

Even after the abortion and abuse the woman still remained under the supervision of the family. Nabi even changed her name and saved her contact on his phone as Tarannum.

Fed up with the repeated torture, the victim finally collected courage and reached the police seeking help. She shared her plight with the police who not only registered a case of rape against the accused but also arrested him in due time.
