In a decision that was taken late in the evening, CM Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to ensure that all the educational institutions till class 12th remain open on July 29. It is in this regard that the Office of the Director General School Education and State Project Director, Lucknow has issued a letter to all the District Basic Education Officers of the state. All the schools have been directed to celebrate the third anniversary of the National Education Policy.
The Muharram holiday was cancelled as the UP government wanted that all the schools should also live stream the inaugural session of the All India Education Conference which will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on July 29 in Delhi.
The Director General School Education, Vijay Anand issued a statement in which he said that the schools will function like any other normal day on July 29th.
