Stories and claims to prove the film ‘The Kerala Story’ fake are making rounds on social media. There have been attempts to curb the screening of the film, which shows a number of non-Muslim women being converted to Islam and later inducted into the terror group ISIS. Bengal under the Mamata government has banned the movie. While, in Tamil Nadu screenings at many places have been cancelled. So-called intellectuals and liberals call it propaganda, contrary to this cases of forced religious conversions and Love Jihad in real life are only rising in numbers.

In the recent case from Firozabad, a Hindu woman shared her ordeal in front of the media where she claimed one of her Muslim friends groomed her. Then she met his brother, they started talking, soon they eloped and had conversion nikah. After it, he started using her as a commodity, she was presented before his friends as a gift and was exploited mentally as well as physically.

After bearing it for months, the woman finally called the police for help.

A First Information Report (number–307/2023) was registered on May 10 at the South Firozabad police station by the victim Anjali.

In her complaint 19-year-old Anjali, a resident of the Prakash Nagar Agara-6 area told the police that, her husband Arman Khan son of Banne Khan, a resident of Nai Basti area of Firozabad beat her.

The Station House Officer at Firozabad South police station Kamlesh Kumar told Organiser on May 11 that, they have received a complaint by the victim and are investigating the matter. Till the time this report was filed, the accused was being interrogated by the police officials.

Notably, the accused as per the FIR has been booked under IPC sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation).

The Firozabad police from their official Twitter handle also shared a statement regarding the case on May 10. As per the police officer, they received a complaint on a call where a woman stated that her husband was beating her up. On reaching the spot, the police found that the woman and the man belong to different communities.

It is noteworthy that, the woman left her parent’s house almost six months ago and for the same, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered at the Etmaddaula police station of the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. After the missing person report was filed, the police recovered the woman and the man in front of the court, as the woman was a major, the court left it to her decision.

She decided to go with the man and since then they moved to the Firozabad South area and have been living as a married couple.

As per a video statement made by the victim in front of the media, she says one of Arman’s sisters was her friend and it was then she came in touch with him. Soon they began talking, became friends and developed feelings for each other.

Her mother was totally against the alliance and hence she scolded her for even having a friendship with Arman. The woman was a student of B. Pharma and Arman had a business of Bangles.

The Firozabad Story: Like The Kerala Story, this woman was groomed by Muslim friends, ended up having a relationship with Mohd Arman. He would beat her up, his friends made physical relationship with her and what not.

Well, even after her mother’s repeated advice, Anjali decided to leave her home and they eloped from Agra. Upon recovery, she choose Arman over her family and decided to go with him.

By then they get married to each other. If it was a ‘Nikah’ or ‘Court Marriage’, is yet to be clarified by the victim.

About the torture she had faced with Arman, she said, “He drugged her so that he and his friends can make physical relationship with her. They used to bite her over her body, and there were burn marks as well”.

About conversion, a Hindu Jagran Manch activist Madhurima Vashishth said, “The accused used to give the woman sleeping pills with a cold drink, he was forcing her to convert to Islam, he even presented his wife as a gift to his friends who exploited her sexually. He was an alcoholic and used to beat her up every now and then”.

She added, “The woman tried to kill herself”

Anjali in front of the media said, “One of Arman’s friends tried to make physical relationship with her so she attacked him in self-defense. After this Arman thrashed her, and she was fed up with this and hence she cut her veins, however, she did survive”.

This time when Arman beat her up, she told everything to his landlord who called up the members of Hindu Jagran Manch and the woman was rescued from there.

As per the reports, the couple posed as a Hindu couple after which they got the place on rent. Arman never revealed his true identity to the landlord.

She wishes to go with her mother and added strict actions should be taken against the accused.
