Pamphlets bearing quotes like “Do Shopping for Eid from Muslims only” are widely circulated on the internet. The pamphlets have shown up during the month of Ramzan.

A picture of one such pamphlet reads, “Eid ki Khareedi Apno se hi karen” (buy things for Eid from relatives only). The quote is followed by a rhym in Hindi as:

“Apna Khaega, Zakat Nikalega..Gair Khaega, Hathiyar Nikalega.. Aur fir us Hathiyar ko lekar, tumhare ghar aur masjidon par Bhagwa Jhanda lehraega”

Text says "Do your Eid shopping from MusIims only, don't do business with Kafirs".

Honestly I've no issue with it, they're free to do business with whomever they want to, it's their right but when any Hindu does the same, seculars/IsIamists start outraging.. pic.twitter.com/LtDs6vZHMH

If our people will get our money they will take out ‘Zakat’ (an alms tax), and if others will get our money they would buy weapons from it and then will attack our Mosques, or will unfurl the saffron flags upon them.

The paper further reads, “Ummat-e-Musalman ke har Zimmedar insan tak ye paigam zarur pohche”

This message should reach true Muslims in the community.

This is not the first time Islamists have circulated such a message to unite against Hindus for some ‘War’ in their head. In October 2022, a group of Islamists took vows of not to be working for the construction of a temple in Bareilly.

The video from the site went viral on the internet.

According to a report in Dainik Jagran, Hindus built a well at a village in Bareilly. Near the well, a small Shivling was placed. When some children placed bricks there, Muslims began to protest, stating that they will not allow the construction of a Hindu temple there.

Informing about the action taken in this matter, Bareilly police tweeted, “A video of some people making anti-social statements is going viral on social media. Following an investigation into the above viral video, a case has been registered at the police station in Shergarh, Bareilly under the relevant sections.”
