In a shocking development in the Sukma District of Chhattisgarh, a man identified as Sadiq Khan stormed social media after he posted a video of himself hurling abuses at the Hindu community on April 5.

In the viral video, Sadiq can be seen having a plate of Gau mans (cow meat) and hurling abuses at the members of Bajrang Dal and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP); in the video, which went viral in a short time, Sadiq can also be heard passing vulgar comments against the Hindu community.

Learning about the viral video, a police team also started a hunt to nab the accused, who was later arrested and brought to the town of Thana, where the members of BJP and other Hindu outfits had already complained about the accused.

In the video, Sadiq, while hurling abuses at the Hindu community, can be heard saying, “You worship a cow like your mother, but we eat it. “If you have power, then come fight us, said Sadiq pointing towards himself and his son.

It’s been learnt that after the video went viral, members of the BJP and other Hindu outfits gathered before the town thana and demanded strict punitive action against the accused; it was only when the accused was arrested and the Thana Incharge assured that strict punitive action would be taken against the accused as per the law, then the members left the premises around 8 in the evening.

It should be noted that the Maoist-affected district has recently witnessed a communal flare-up after members of the Muslim community objected to a banner which has Ram Nagar written on it; it’s been reported that the members of the Muslim group were claiming that the name of the area is Rumi Nagar, not Ram Nagar, after which the police asked the Hindu group to put a sticker on the ‘Nagar’ part on the banner.

It’s been reported that even after the Hindu group put up a sticker there, suddenly, the police started beating some members of the Hindu community, following which a Bandh was also called in the district, later some BJP functionaries also submitted a memorandum to the district collector seeking action against those who misbehaved with the youths.
