Vadodara-based Mahir Ajmeri is accused of repeatedly raping a Hindu woman after luring her with the promise of marriage and defrauding her of thousands of rupees after borrowing from her to build a factory.

Using Instagram, the Hindu woman from Makarpura in Vadodara and the accused Mahir Habibbhai Ajmeri (who lives in Dabhoi) became friends. The woman attended the MS University of Baroda. She is originally from Uttarakhand’s Dehradun but has lived in Vadodara for years due to her parents’ employment. Her father passed away from illness following his voluntary retirement from BSNL.

After leaving as a school principal, her mother now offers individual tutoring lessons. In 2017–18, while she was in 10th grade, the accused Mahir sent her a friend request on Instagram. She accepted the invitation, and they began speaking.

The accused, Mahir, then met her at the Eva mall in Manjalpur to watch a film. They used to meet and communicate via phone conversations and the Internet. The accused Mahir entered her home as her mother was instructing private tuition students on the second level.

He allegedly lured her with the promise of marriage and had sexual relations with her against her will. He allegedly threatened her life if she shared the information with anyone else. Her mother had attempted to dissuade him from returning to their residence. But he constantly visited her home during her mother’s tuition and sexually assaulted her.

After the woman joined a gym near Soma Talav, the accused, Mahir, also joined the same gym. The female enrolled in private classes to prepare for competitive tests on Jetalpur Road in January 2023, and the accused followed suit shortly thereafter. Until February 2023, he allegedly had sexual relations with her without her consent once every two to three days.

In August 2021, the accused, Mahir Ajmeri, requested funds from the woman in order to build a factory. The woman had transferred him Rs 1,77,810 using the Google app. In addition, he received a check for Rs. 120,000 from the woman’s mother. Therefore, he stole a total of Rs 2,97,810, which he did not return.

The woman filed a rape and breach of trust charge against the suspect at the Makarpura police station. The police have apprehended the suspect and initiated an additional investigation.

In yet another shocking instance of love jihad, Surat police detained a guy named Wasim Akram Waheed on March 11 for luring a 24-year-old Hindu woman into a relationship by concealing his true identity and adopting a Hindu name. In addition, he had regular sexual relations with her and proposed marriage. The suspect has been charged with aggravated rape and breach of trust. The girl is one of Surat’s best college students.

According to the allegation, the offender is a resident of Rajput Faliya in the Surat neighborhood of Vesu. He operates a company called Sunrise Events. In addition to her studies, the victim, who is also from Vesu, has lately begun providing event management services. Wasim introduced himself to her with the fictitious Hindu name Vasu Gwaladiya. Because his previous female business partner had left, he offered her a partnership.

With the formation of a partnership, they engaged in frequent phone conversations and got close. They began dating over time.

While pretending to be at work, he escorted her to a hotel, where they engaged in sexual activity while pursuing a marriage proposal. The woman stated that she was unaware of the offender’s religious affiliation at the time.

From the July 1, 2022 until the February 10, 2023, he exploited her sexually for over seven months by taking her to numerous hotels. He would transport her to other locations for event management jobs and keep her in hotels.

In February, while the office was being relocated, she discovered his Aadhaar card bearing his real name, Wasim, and realised his true identity. When she challenged him with this, he threatened to kill her and her family if she revealed this information to anyone else.

Following this, she severed both her business partnership with him and her emotional engagement with him. She then filed a police report against Wasim, detailing the entire episode, with the Vesu police.

Wasim Akram Waheed was detained and charged under IPC sections 406, 376(2)n, 504, and 506(2) in response to the complaint.

The police indicated that the suspect is a resident of Rajasthan, and they will examine whether or not he has abused further girls. The girl’s father is an employee of a textile plant.

According to reports, Wasim Akram Waheed informed everyone, including his coworkers and clients, that his name is Vasu Gwaladiya.
