On February 10, Bhavnagar Police arrested Arif, Ashraf, Armaan, Irfan, Amin, and Adil for the murder of a 16-year-old Hindu girl in the Sihor belt village of Varal. Radhika was murdered by a Muslim mob as she attempted to intervene in an altercation to save her uncle.

The occurrence occurred on February 9. According to accounts, Arif Allahrakhkha and Lashkarbhai Baraiya, the former sarpanch of the village, argued verbally over the erection of a mobile tower. Arif attacked Lashkarbhai with a sharp blade during the struggle. Radhika, the niece of Lashkarbhai, attempted to save him from Arif. She was injured when Arif struck her with his weapon. She was brought to the hospital, but she died from her injuries there.

Reports indicate that Radhika was Lashkarbhai’s daughter. Since he did not have any children, his younger brother, Jagdish Baraiya, adopted her. The suspect was arrested within hours of the incident. Following Radhika’s death, a tense situation has developed in the community. There are ongoing investigations into the matter.

Meanwhile, the local villagers have vowed to economically boycott the murderers. According to accounts, around 2,000 Hindus gathered to pay their respects and threatened to economically boycott the perpetrators to teach them a lesson. In addition, they resolved to exclusively purchase necessities from Hindu shopkeepers in the future. They also requested that the accused be executed.

According to reports, several people were injured in the scuffle. They were admitted for treatment at the hospital. Certain patients are in critical condition. The funeral procession occurred in the presence of police.

The funeral procession for the deceased juvenile girl was attended by law enforcement. During the march, law and order were maintained by the police. The Bhavnagar Police Superintendent also visited the village to assess the situation. The police have issued a call for people to stay calm. To prevent further tension, special arrangements are being made to post female police officers in several police stations in and around the community.
