Kerala: Another attempt to violate Sabarimala traditions

There are reports from Sabarimala that there was an attempt to violate Sabarimala traditions and rituals last month. A young Keralite woman managed to go to Sabarimala and reached almost near the valiya pandal(big pandal), very close to the ‘pathinettampati’ (18 holy steps). But, as soon as the devotees recognised her presence, the police sent her back. It was during the poplar Makar Festival in mid-January, which drew hundreds of thousands of devotees, from all over the world, to the shrine. Devotees throng for a darshan of Makar Jyothi, an auspicious sight.

This is a very serious issue, especially in the light of the CPM Government’s resolution to ‘wait’ until the ultimate verdict of the Supreme Court in this connection. Because the Government cannot forget the bitter experience they suffered when similar attempts took place in 2018.

But, the devotees know that such attempts are highly likely to recur since it is the declared policy of CPM and LDF to demolish the Hindu faith day by day and pave the way for total atheist-communist control of the social life of Kerala.
