AMU sudents chanted ‘Nara-e-Takbeer Allah-hu-Akhbar’; praised BBC documentary in memorandum

There is no stop to anti-India activities in Aligarh Muslim University, on February 3, 2023, the students of AMU staged a protest against the suspension of students who had raised Islamic supremacist slogans on Republic day in the campus. Islamic slogans like ‘Nara-e-Takbeer Allah-hu-Akhbar’ were chanted by students during the demonstration and they demanded the revocation of the suspension order issued against other students on January 26, 2023.

As per reports, the students allegedly staged the protest after the Friday Namaz. They submitted a memorandum to the proctor of AMU and demanded that reinstation of all the suspended students with immediate effect. Notably, they justified the controversial BBC documentary in the memorandum also praised it

Imprtant;y, the memorandum exposed the proctor of AMU’s claims, who had said, “The posters of the BBC documentary in AMU were put up by outsiders and students. Also, as per reports, several posters with QR codes were also pasted on the walls of the AMU campus, so that students could watch the banned BBC documentary on their gadgets.

The protesting students on February 3, 2023, demanded AMU student and NCC cadet Wahiduj Jama , the main accused, be reinstated as he was suspended for raising Islamic slogans on Republic day.

Earlier, it was reported that the AMU had suspended a student for shouting “Allah hu Akbar” slogans on Republic Day. The incident of some NCC cadets raising slogans during Republic Day celebrations had come to light on Thursday. The video of people shouting the slogan at the program had gone viral on social media. The management of AMU then had acted upon it by suspending NCC cadet Wahiduj Jama, the student involved in the matter.

Earlier, hurting the religious sentiments, a Professor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) had made ‘mythical references’ on rape in his presentation in a class.
