Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Assam state spokesperson Ranjiv Kumar Sharma said on Saturday that AIUDF President Badruddin Ajmal is a contemporary version of the harem culture of Khilji, Das dynasty, Sultans and Mughals. After the Muslim invaders in medieval India conquered the territory, they killed Hindu men and made harems out of women. Women were physically abused and mass sexually assaulted in the harem of Muslim rulers. This is how pages of Indian history go hand in hand. We have all read about barbarism. The AIUDF President Badruddin Ajmal wants to continue the harem culture of Khilji-Mughal. Ranjiv Kumar Sharma said while addressing a press conference at the party’s state headquarters at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhavan.

The press conference was attended by MLA Diganta Kalita and party press department convener Dewan Dhruvajyoti Moral. Shama added that Ajmal and his forces still treat women as commodities. Ranjiv Kumar Sharma mentioned that the unparliamentary remarks made by Ajmal targeting Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma are a challenge for a civilised society. The BJP spokesperson also called on the people concerned to strip Ajmal of the title of Maulvi given by the Islamic community.

While comparing the AIUDF President to Aurangzeb, MLA Diganta Kalita asserted that the society of Assam would never accept Arab culture. Kalita said people with a bad mentality like Ajmal need to be socially and politically excluded. The BJP MLA added that in relation to Ajmal with his statements about polluting society, the time for the Muslim Civil Society to take stringent and clear action is nearby.

Sharma further added that It is noteworthy that Bakhtiar Khilji invaded Assam in the 12th century after destroying the University of Nalanda. Prithu was the king of Assam at that time. Thousands of people from all ethnic groups of Assam led by Maharaja Prithu defeated Bakhtiar Khilji’s huge army of 10,000 cavalries and smothered him on the battlefield. In the same pattern, Ajmal attacked the ancient civilization and culture of Assam. Therefore, it is necessary to take action against these people. There is no doubt that the people of Assam will crush the Ajmal forces under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sharma just as Maharaja Prithu defeated Khilji added the BJP spokesperson Ranjiv Kumar Sharma. The Chief Minister will unite all the ethnic groups of Assam and create a force to resist the cultural and political aggression caused under the leadership of Ajmal reflecting Khilji-Mughal cultural and political influence just as Bakhtiar was defeated.

According to the BJP state spokesperson, Badruddin Ajmal’s indecent remarks against Hon’ble Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma are a planned manoeuvre taking into account the political and social interests of Pamua Muslims. It is noteworthy that for the enquiry on the issue of a land dispute of Satras, the Commission, chaired by MLA Pradeep Hazarika submitted its first report to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma on 2nd December. After the report was submitted, the Chief Minister was attacked with unparliamentary words by Ajmal. We all know that the satra is being encroached upon by Bhumi Pamua Muslims. These Pamuas are Ajmal’s vote bank. To protect his vote bank Ajmal attacked Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, added Ranjiv Kumar Sharma.
