The COVID safety protocol information announcement in Sanskrit started from Friday at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Babatpur, Varanasi. Varanasi Airport became the first airport in the country where information is being broadcast in Sanskrit.
Now Sanskrit language has also been added in the order of information transmission and announcements at the airport. Earlier, all the information was only given to the passengers in English and Hindi. The airport announcements are now being broadcast in three languages to follow Corona rules and prevent infection.
The announcement of the Covid19 protocol in Sanskrit is a new initiative by the Sanskrit department of Banaras Hindu University.
Visitors have praised the new initiative:
One of the visitors who landed in Varanasi today said that the initiative of broadcasting information in the Sanskrit language in the country’s cultural capital is excellent. With this, people coming from abroad as well as within the country will understand the connection between the Kashi and Sanskrit language.
