Diphu: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma asked party leaders and workers to get ready for the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

Addressing the state BJP executive in Diphu town, Sarma said, “Ye Dil Mange More” in 2019, the people of Assam had elected 9 BJP MPs from the state. But what PM Narendra Modi ji has given us in the last five years, 9 MPs are not enough. It should be more than that, he added.

He said that the pride of Assamese people ‘Gamucha’ has been popularised in India by none other than PM Modi. Such is his contribution to the development of Assam and Northeast, besides numerous development schemes.

CM said India is marching towards being the ‘Vishwaguru’ (World Leader) under the able leadership of PM Narendra Modi. But to reach the ultimate goal, India needs another two tenures of PM Modi’s government.

Talking about the recent violent incidents across India, CM Sarma said the rise of radical, communal forces in India is a serious matter of concern. A huge left-liberal force is trying to malign the good work of the BJP government, PM Modi and India overall in the International arena, he added.

“A circle within the country is also conspiring to defame and weaken the ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ agenda of PM Modi. So I request all the party workers to act dedicatedly until we reach our destination of Vishwaguru, India. Not only in 2024, but we also have to make a continuous victory at least till 2031. Then only the enemies of our country will understand that India is as strong as the Himalaya and no one can weaken us at their will,” he said.
