Pastor Bajinder Singh has been absconding after multiple Hindu organisations and SC-ST Rights Forum filed complaints against him for organising a massive conversion event in Odisha.

Following multiple complaints filed by @SCSTForum and Odisha Hindu Organizations, the Self Proclaimed Prophet Mr. Bajinder Singh absconded from Day-2 (27.05.22) of Christian conversion event in Balangir Odisha. https://t.co/7Lt0ecpkGa pic.twitter.com/CjW4RbeQKo

Kalinga Rights Forum met the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) and urged the body to file a complaint against the sub-collector of Balangir for assisting Bajinder Singh in organising his conversion program.

Pastor Bajinder Singh organised a massive two-day conversion event in Balangir, Odisha, to convert people to Christianity.

The Forum shared the posters of the event on Twitter and said they even met the sub-collector to file a complaint against Bajinder Singh for organising such an event despite having anti-conversion law in the state. But the sub-collector denied the reports and said no one came to meet him. The Forum shared the pictures of workers meeting the sub-collector and said the sub-collector denied receiving the complaint despite sharing proof against the pastor.

Later, SC-ST Rights Forum filed a complaint to DM and SP of Balangir against Bajinder Singh and asked to take action under the Odisha Freedom of Religion Act & Drugs & Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act.

Later, in a tweet, Kalinga Forum said the collector and SP of Balangir failed to take action against Bajinder despite filing multiple complaints and added that the sub-collector gave permission to organise the event.

This isn’t the first time the controversial pastor has been news. Earlier, Organiser reported that the Mohali commissioner ordered an inquiry into the exploitation of children for Bajinder Singh’s missionary activities.
