Kulgam: A teacher from Samba was shot dead by suspected militants in Gopalpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam on Tuesday morning.
An official told that militants fired upon a lady teacher at High School Gopalpora Kulgam, leaving her severely wounded.
She was immediately shifted to district hospital Kulgam where doctors declared her brought dead, he said.
The slain teacher has been identified as Rajni, wife of Raj Kumaar of Samba district.
He added that the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
Islamic Terrorists had recently targeted and killed a Kashmiri Pandit, Rahul Bhatt, who worked as a government employee of the Tehsil office in the Budgam district’s Chadoora.
The terrorists, on May 25, killed TV actress Amreen Bhat and injured her 10-year-old nephew in the Union Territory’s Budgam.
The security forces neutralised all the terrorists involved in the killing of Rahul Bhatt and Amreen Bhat.
