Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a visit to Japan to attend the Quad Summit on May 24.
The Summit will be hosted in Tokyo.
“This would be the 4th Summit of Quad leaders. Bilateral meetings with Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida and bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden to take place on May 24,” MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi told reporters here.
The Prime Minister is also likely to have a bilateral meeting with his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison.
He also said during the visit, PM Modi will participate in a business event with Japanese business leaders.
Mr Modi will also address and interact with the Indian community in Japan.
The meeting of the QUAD leaders will take coinciding with the US President’s visit to Japan.
It will also come close on the heels of general elections in Australia. The elections in Australia will take place on May 21.
Notably, this will also be the first in-person meet between PM Modi and the US President since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on Feb 24.
