New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate KD Parvadiya multi-speciality Hospital, the first multi-speciality hospital in Jasdan taluka, Rajkot, on May 28.
Gujarat BJP president CR Patil held a meeting with MPs, MLAs and party office-bearers in nine districts of the Saurashtra region on Tuesday (May 17) to review preparations for the mega-event.
Patil, who is also the sitting BJP MP from Navsari Lok Sabha constituency, also met Rajkot district collector Arun Mahesh Babu.
The hospital was built by a charitable trust headed by former MLA and BJP leader Bharat Boghra at Atkot village.
“The Prime Minister will visit Saurashtra for the first time after the Covid-19 pandemic. We are making preparations to host around three lakh people for the function,” Boghra said.
The 200-bed hospital has a 1.25 lakh sqft carpet area and will have modular operation theatres.
The hospital was constructed by Patel Seva Samaj, Atkot, a charitable trust.
